Coltrane qualified for Boston. I shouldn't have said "serious." I meant "highly skilled."

one more thing

Since I bought out most of Betsey Johnson on the weekend, I will need lots of dates in the new year in which to wear my new clothes (because none is* work-appropriate). So I will need Santa to send me lots of willing boys and/or girls.

*this doesn't sound right, but whatever.

(I have almost certainly butchered the spelling of one or more of the drugs above, but deal with it.)
Is there some other reason that ibuprofen might not work and acetaminophen would? Or maybe I have it backwards and this was the _reason_ I switched form acetaminophen to ibuprofen. It was a few years ago.

In a related question, do I have all you personal injury lawyers or the insurance industry to blame for the fact that my insurance company doesn't do any sort of "dial-a-nurse" or similar phone consultations? My GP is actually pretty friendly about occasional calls to deal with issues like this and will sometimes write prescriptions with just a phone consultation, but I feel bad calling him for anything other than major stuff.

You have it backwards. Acetaminophen doesn't do anything but relieve pain. Aspirin, Ibuprofen (Advil) and Naproxen (Aleve, my choice) all reduce inflammation. A natural choice for reducing inflammation is turmeric capsules. I take a double dose when injured and they help. New Chapter capsules are very good.

I'll see if I can arrange that if you can arrange to have him pay my plumber.

Does anyone know where to get good shoelaces?

Are you me? Except for the basketball group part. And, my living room is painted but I have a hallway and a bedroom that will need to get painted at some point.

All "necessary" painting has been completed, though.

Whew. I was expecting you to make a Hank's Mom joke.

Dodged it!

For what it's worth, I still haven't found a place that consistently has all the shoelaces I need. It's bullshit to have to hunt around for an hour to find a shoe store that has what I need. The web sucks, too.

So, tie that around your tail!

Yes, although I've never gotten this answer to this question and have been very cautious about bringing it along when it's wet out.

Do they stain? Because turmeric stains like a motherfucker. I was pondering getting a spa treatment that involved turmeric, but then realized that I didn't have enough money for the 2 1/2 hour treatment, and that I didn't want to run the risk of being bright yellow.

Speaking of spas, did you get your vacation conflict worked out?

And, another thing I want for Xmas is for someone to unpack all my worldly possessions and install storage solutions in my cabinets. And tivo. And the phone to start working again.
