500 to the 5k
I encourage all posters and any long time lurkers to post now and post often. Together, we can reach the 5k and take down the worst. motto. ever.

That worked well because everyone wanted to read the book at the same time. Ordinarily, I wouldn't start a separate thread because you won't have all that much traffic about any one book.

I'm afraid I may have gone a little overboard. I'd be happy to send you links for you to judge for yourself

Yahoo! crap
My anon Yahoo! account is getting messages purporting to be notifications that messages I sent did not go through. I didn't send such messages. I don't think I have a virus, and figure that someone else does, or that this is some new form of spam with an angle I haven't perceived yet. Anyone know what's up with this?

Well, I'm not stopping posting, and I'm not stopping seeing RT. For various reasons, I will stop posting about RT, absent a particularly relevant reason or in response to a direct question. Deal with it or put me on ignore and fuck off.

Bravo! Way to stand your ground. Like Tom Petty. or Billy Jack.

I've actually had quite a number of really good book recommendations off of this board, and if you scroll back, you'll see a lot of discussion earlier today on book recs. There was an effort at starting an FB book club a few years ago in a yahoo group, but it sort of fell apart. Does that place still even exist?
Oh, and it's also the poker board. And the sports board when we forget we have sports board. And sometimes the recipe board. And the pets board. And the complain about travel board. And the music board.
But mostly it's the sex board.
|
I saw the book recommendation. They were great. But it took forever to get to them. There was some much static to have to scroll through. By the time I got the board it was 3:00 and already I had missed like ten lines of stuff. And I am sure some people find some of that stuff interesting but I found it really annoying to get to the interesting stuff. I have never had that problem with any of the other boards but this board sucks in that way. Even scrolling and skipping the posts you are not interested in takes a lot of time.

Ty, you know i love like the mirror of the internet siblings you don't have but would love if you did, platonically, but this is uncool. We have a Politics Board for this stuff. If you want to know more about it, PM one of the moderators. Given that, it is just unacceptable and down right rude to post this type of partisan political provocation here.
As an aside, while I feel better about the bin Laden thing, do you know where the Clintons are?
