He used to be a fat, now he is not.

My top choice, for the strongest most viable full ticket:
-McCain/Jeb Bush
Second choice ticket:
Guiliani (gag)/Gingrich
Spanky, can you run these up the flagpole, sts?
eta: Guiliani is not my favourite, but I'd vote for him to keep Hillary out of the WH. If it was Guiliani v. John Edwards, I might take pass on the partiy candidates and write myself or maybe Slave in.

Blogs are the foundation upon which Ty's beliefs and posits are based. Remember Spanky, if its on the interwebs, it has to be true, as Al Gore invented the medium, and he is a man of truth, albeit the inconvenient varietal.

Why all the hate?
Rudy/Newt is the dream ticket, with Mitt/Newt a second choice.
I just pray we can keep it together and not let the South screw it up.
McCain is an old crank - but would be perfect for SecDef in any (GOP/Dem) Administration.

Probably not. But I'm remaining hopeful. He would be a great 3rd party candidate.

In other words: "They sure do suck, but I don't want to talk about it."
I don't care what that blog says, but it was getting too quiet around here.

Oh. I get it you agree with what this blogger is saying. Well, I think the opposite is true. I think both Giuliani and McCain are not only great candidates, but formidable candidates. I like them both and think they would both beat Hillary in a walk.

Giuliani and McCain would be both stronger in the general election than in the Republican primaries. I have a hard time imagining Giuliani getting out the primaries at all. And McCain's popularity with independents and Democrats is disappearing as he panders and panders to the right wing.
For that matter, I don't think much of Hillary, either.

Don't let the soft exterior fool you. He is a hard core social conservative.

I used to think like you did that Giuliani could not make it out of the primary. But a lot of the social conservatives in California are lining up behind Giuliani. It is rather strange and I have not figured out why.
I think Hillary is really formidable. I think she will crush anyone other than Giuliani or McCain. If any of these other bozos get the nomination it will be a walk for her.

Social California Conservatives and Giuliani
Stephen Frank, a hard core social conservative and active party member posted this on his web page. Surprised the hell out of me....
Is Rudy Giuliani A Conservative? Look At His NYC Management
(full disclosure: I am a strong support of former Mayor Rudy Giuliani for President) The article below shows what the mainstream media and the Democrats don't want you to know about Rudy Giuliani. Tax cuts, crime control, strong leadership are all part of his quiver. But there is more. And, the way the media has portrayed him has not been accurate. This article gives you chapter and verse about the policies, philosophy and actions of Rudy Giuliani. It is the actions, and the positive results of those actions to look at. Take a look at them and think about President Hillary, or President Obama. Really scary is the FACT that Al Gore WILL be running for president as the candidate of the no-nothing Democrats. Republicans and our nation need a responsible leader for our nominee We need a winner than shares of principles. Thanks to our legislative leaders and Governor Schwarzenegger, California will be an important part of the decision making process. Lets make the most of it. Feel free to forward this article to your friends and associates. Send it to bloggers. What do you think about the 2008 race? Should we nominate the strongest candidate with our principles? Write your thoughts directly on the web site for all to see and discuss. while this is a longer article than usual me the California Political news and Views to publish, it is a worthwhile read for serious political people and those concerned about the future of our nation. Click on the URL just below to see the whole article.
