In an effort to maintain my mainstream crown, I saw Prince last night and I'm off to see Jerry Seinfeld tonight. Prince put on an amazing show. Lots of jamming and good song segues. And he did a few acoustic songs during the encore (Little Red Corvette, then one about how nasty his girl's breath is, followed by one begging not to have to sleep in the couch). And he managed to have all the female performers appear to be as little as he is (in his 4 inchers, of course). Anyway, check it out if you're into that sort of thing...

No, I didn't. I asked Leagle if her opinion of what I had said would have been different if I were a black female. I said that to point out her opinion would be different if the color of the skin of the person making the comments was black. She was being a big hypocrite by claiming that it wasn't the content of what I said that she was trying to censor. Then you all took that to mean I was black.

Tush Munch throws around terms like racist and race-baiter willy nilly without regard to whether there is in fact any racism going on. Last night, Ty was tending bar at the Stephen F.: I ordered goose and soda; I got crap and soda.

I often send back drinks made with the wrong vodka, especially if I am at the bar and can watch them remake it, but I let it ride last night because I did not want to bust his game.

After that, I party-hopped fueled by increasingly generic vodka, as my compatriots were incapable of being heard over fire-marshall controlled hundreds of people bellied up to the bars and just ordered round after round of "vodka and soda" and handed them out among the group.

Nothing betrays bad vodka more than no appreciable mixer. You know it's bad when you can tell how bad drink #6 tastes. I mean, you drink it anyway, but still, ew.

As I was living J-Kwon's song, I heard that people were paying more than $50 a person to get into this party. $50 cover in a town that charges no cover. (That may be a lie . . . I've not paid cover in seven or eight years, but I cannot remember anyone collecting it at any of the nightclubs, unless there is a live band.)

Why would you pay $50 to get into a club to pay $8 for crappy drinks and no one is getting naked? That does not make sense.

Now, I am nursing a slight hangover in anticipation of tonight's debauchery -- Ty, next time, pour the right damn vodka.

Not looking to be treated better or worse. Leagle's point to me that started this whole thing is that I needed to censor what I said about Tiger 's problems with his race because that might offend you since you are married to a black man. That is ridiculous. I could careless if you get your feelings hurt because I think that many black man who marry white women do that not out of love but out of internalized racism.
