Watched the whole thing. Was hoping to see Alfonso v. The Latin Snake in the final bout, but was satisfied with the outcome. The problem they had was that they didn't have a villain for a good part of the show.

There are so many weight classes out there, they should definitely do the show again, but they should put it in a different time slot. The Mrs. wanted to watch Extreme Makeover HE and I wanted to watch the Contender. Sometimes she got her way, sometimes I got mine, and sometimes I went into my office and turned on the small TV I have in there.

They replayed that show a hundred times per week on some cable channel. If you have a tivo and cable, you shouldn't have had to miss a show. In fact, my tivo is still picking up the reruns.

No TiVo.
I think I only missed one episode, though.

I've worn thighhighs to work. I never had problems with slippage, but then again, I have muscular/shapely legs. I am fatter and stupider and less attractive than people think I am.

Celeb height - first hand estimates

Fair enough. Here's my guesses about A-listers' height, male and female. These are mostly pure guesses, but having walked by him once, I swear, Cruise isn't as short as you think. Note, Ben Affleck should not be on this list. He is fairly tall, however.
Russell Crowe (1/5 of 30-odd foot = 6'?)
Will Ferrell (6'4")
Denzel Washington (6'1")
Nicole Kidman (6'0)
Tom Hanks (5'11")
Brad Pitt (5'10")
Cruise (5'9")
Matt Damon (5'9")
Harrison Ford (5'8', probably not A-list anymore)
Julia Roberts (5'7")
Jude Law (5'7", also probably not A-list)
Lollipop head (5'3")
|
I like this game. Here are my guesses, based on walk-bys - but almost none of these are A-list:
Barbara Streisand: 5'5"
Timothy Hutton: 6' or 6'1"
Wesley Snipes 5'8" (may have appeared smaller by having some HUGE ASS BODYGUARDS nearby, but he was really surprisingly short)
Nancy Allen: 5'4"
Bruce Campbell 6'
Milla Jovovitch: 5'9"
Ted Kennedy: 5'8", maybe a bit less
Bill Clinton: 6'2"
Billy Joel: 5'6"
Helena Bonham Carter: 5'. Maybe 5'1". And weird looking
Alec Baldwin: 5'10" (with a dumpy ass)
Moby: 5'8"
John Voight: 6'2" (and my momma says he and his brother were way hot in high school)
Mike Tyson: 5'9"
Matthew Modine: 6'1"
Julia Roberts: 5'7" sounds about right, but I only saw her at a distance, and didn't want to get closer as she looked like complete hell in person.

I've stood next to each of them. They are both about 6' 2".

Oooh ooh ooh, how exciting, here are mine:
Geraldo Rivera: short and hairy
Jerry Seinfeld (pre-Seinfeld): short, thin, single, and neat, and yes, has a matter of fact, he was wearing size 31 Levi's, with a tucked in, button-down shirt tucked in
Kirk Cameron: medium
Kirk Cameron's wife: taller than Kirk, and very pretty
Sting: short, and taut, and lithe, with really piercing eyes and a quick smile
Tracy Ullman: she was sitting down, but her hair was shiny, and she was cute
Joe Lockhart: doughy and not short
Ari Fleischer: short and thin and not hot
Ari Fleischer's wife: hot, in a shake-your-head, "she's procreating with HIM?" kind of way
Greta Van Susteren and Wolf Blitzer: exactly like you'd expect. Greta was not vain at all. A big tennis fan. Wolf was quite vain.
Alan Greenspan: short and thin and hunched and old and as muppet-like as those WSJ drawings would lead you to believe
Some SEC dude who left the year before last: fat and hairy and wearing ill-fitting clothes, and eating with his elbows on the table.
Some NBC news guy named David somebody: tall, thin, and very speedy in his movements
Anderson Cooper: short, thin, bad skin, but still cute, and a little harried
By short, I mean, not as tall as I am. Medium means maybe about as tall as I am. Not short means maybe taller than I am. It's all about me and my height, you see.
I'm sure I've seen lots of other famous for Washington types, but I either don't recognize them, or can't recall their names, or otherwise don't give a shit.

Then Ted was standing on a box, or he's lost half a foot to a shin-ectomy recently, 'cause he ain't nowhere near 6 foot. I'm 5'2 and in heels I was looking him dead in the eye.

I'll just get straight to the "good stuff" because the surrounding circumstances were entirely too detailed in bizarre to get into, and they're just not that interesting.
So, my internet boyfriend (that would be Shape Shifter for those of you keeping score at home) and I planned a rendez-vous at this high-school track meet so that we could make out and stuff. Now, though I was overwhelmed with desire during this making out/feeling up interlude, I felt it wouldn't be quite right for me to actually do the sex with my internet boyfriend in a public place (what with my being married and all), I procured him a substitute for the actual sex-having. The substitute was Gwen Stefani. [WTF?] I am so in contention for internet-girlfriend-of-the-year. Can I get a "hell, yeah"?
We then made a plan to meet later in his old apartment (as opposed to his new apartment - just upstairs from the old one) for the actual sex part. That part was off-camera though.

And was your husband happy when you woke up, um, eager?

No box. I've stood next to him many times, not just once. He's a big guy. (Hank, you can post your picture now.)

I've also met him and he was not short. I'm 5'8+", FWIW.

Maybe he was laying on his side at the time?
