Beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

On April 16, 2007 thirty-three lovable and fragile individuals passed.

I'll give you "fragile", but your defense has to extend to "lovable." And given the classroom was the engineering department, I'd bet at least half weren't "lovable."

Excellent points. You have my proxy on this one.

What a phony. It sounds like she's trying to pretend that she's from Arkansas or something.

David Letterman's "Top Ten George W. Bush Moments" (for the White House Correspondents Dinner).

2. Since we all know she's from Illinois and didn't move to Arkansas until she was 30, right?

My accent changes all the time. Depends on the context of where I am on what my voice sounds like. Sometimes I have a fairly thick Gulf Coast Texas accent, sometimes it's a more twangy Central Texas accent (and anyone from Texas can tell the difference), sometimes the fact that English wasn't my first language is very evident, sometimes it's pretty clear that I grew up watching a lot of accentless Californians on TV and in the movies. Depends on who I'm talking to, where I am, and how drunk, tired, or relaxed I am.

Right now, I can barely talk thanks to an irritating cold, so I don't have much of a voice, much less an accent.

Well... I think that's what happened here too -- her audience was such that it inspired her to get twangy and have a sort of "black folk sensibility schtick" going on. Which is what makes it funny and fun to play around with on You Tube. Kind of like if you came to the City, and I got you really drunk and you started talking alternately like Sandy Cheeks and then Fran Drescher and I put you on You Tube (or in Hank's basement). Fair. Game.

Um...Hey --What are you doing next week when that cold goes away?
