The site is safe for work but the drink isn't.
I really don't think Lemmy would approve.

Did I tell that story here?

Two weeks ago Monday, my sister was having a rough day at work, so I took her for drinks. I wanted to take her someplace that serves fruity, girly drinks with umbrellas and pineapples and shit, and the only place I could think that had that sort of thing was Bennigans. (We're dreadfully low on Tiki bars in the inner loop of Houston.) Bonus: we were very unlikely to run into anyone we knew.

We showed up at around 8:50 and headed straight to the bar. The bartender took our Mango-Strawberry daiquiari orders, and informed us that happy hour started in ten minutes. Turns out (at that particular Bennigans, I cannot vouch for any others) that Happy Hour is every day from 4-7 and from 9-11. $2 cosmopolitans, margaritas on the rocks, long island iced teas, and something else I can't remember. Also some beer was $2. $3 bar food.

The place started filling up around 9:05, and by the time we rolled out of there, having had many $2 cosmos, the place was bumping.

wow. I thought we were supposed to be nice to newbers, but I think that was worth it.

John, you don't need to be so agreeable. Pony won't really drink those. He's a hockey dad. that shit would get him kicked out of car pools. Flower might try it, but other than him....(well maybe Sebby if there is a soy version) no one else would. AND you wouldn't either.

If I were betting man, I'd take you up on that. But I'm preternaturally risk averse.

Sounds like a good time. I always manage to miss happy hour by 10 minutes. You were very lucky.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but if they say this to you every time, "Happy Hour" may just be up until you arrive.

$260 for a pair of velcro sneakers? Fugee, I am sure they are comfortable, but please don't tell me that you use them for your speed walking routine around the perimeter of the MOA.

Mine aren't velcro and you have to be there either really early or really late to do any speed walking at MOA -- too many slow movers blocking the way!
