For those of you who turn to alcohol when you discover your spouse has cheated on you

Damn, that stuff was good. We went through three bottles on Sunday night, and there was serious discussion of launching an expedition to Mexico to get some more. Apparently, you can't get whatever it was that we were drinking here. Fortunately, reason (sort of) prevailed, and we nearly killed each other with fireworks instead.

I haven't tried the almond. I've had the Strawberry, which tastes like strawberry quik, the Coffee and the Mango stuff. All good, in a sweet liquour-ish sort of way, but I think that the choice to call them "tequila" was a bit of a stretch. They're as likely to get me a tequila buzz as amaretto is (NTTAWWT).

BUT, if the wife expected you to be monogamous and then cheats, you've got a right to be pissed. And you've got a free pass to cheat all you like. If you stay with such a person, you'll have to cheat... because thats the only way any person with a stitch of self respect could stay in such an arrangement. What kind of person could stay faithful to a person he/she knew was cheating on em? You'd have to have absolutely no self esteem. You can't just wipe something like this under the rug, or pass it off as mere "warts." You either do the open marriage (whether openly or covertly) or you walk.
And I have to disagree about accepting cavalierly your spouse's cheating. I don't like monogamy any more than any other person, but its the hand I was dealt. And frankly, I've had enough ass in my life to know that the coolness of getting some "strange" won't outweigh the seismic disaster to my psyche a divorce would bring.
But thats why I got married late, after I'd sown my oats. There's a funny thing I notice about guys I work with who cheat a lot. Many of them are dweeby. They got hitched early and didn't get much action as youngsters. This isn't to say that all cheating men are insecure dweebs - I also know many serial cheaters who are just born players. Thats what they do. But they're the minority. Most of the guys who cheat are just tools who get led around by their dicks because they never got any serious female attention until a secretary enamored with their wallet offerd them some. I thank God my outsized ego and moderate success with the ladies through my lengthy single life have always ensured I'd never be one of those guys... Ain't nothing worse than an aging dork getting taken for his bank in divorce court. I haven't taken shit serious in my whole life, but the idea of hurting my wife is pretty repulsive to me. I don't think everyone takes the marriage contract so lightly.
Now, that said, if my wife offered me free passes to screw around or said it wouldn't hurt her, shit... thats a no brainer. I'd be the first to mess around.

I did not read the half of this, but I noticed the words "cavalier" and "taking marriage contract lightly" were in it. That was not what I was suggesting. I was simply suggesting that if he wants to stay with his wife, he'll have to accept that she cheated. It's a fact. "It's a fact!"
And also what I was saying is that there's no point in going into a big song and dance. Wasted energy.

It roughly tracks a post from 2 months ago, so I'm in the "its not a fact" camp.

The party I went to yesterday had 40s. It has been quite some time since I last enjoyed the unique flavors that make up malt liquor and I was shocked that these flavors weren't quite as subtle as I remembered.
I watched some of the fireworks on HD last night. Same thing every year, except this year Mariah Carey performed. And this is where it gets good.
So I'm watching her sing some generic pop song and, as usual, she is wearing very little clothing. The thing about Mariah, though, is that she is a big woman. Not overly fat by any stretch, but she is thick. Beyonce thick in the legs and her waist is now way past what she thinks it is (or what it should be given the clothes she wears). "What's the point?" you may ask (and I commend you for staying focused; clearly you haven't had a 40 in a long time). I'm looking at her and something ain't right. Short shorts and a half-top show off her abs, which are defined. This is really bothering me, since when she leans to the sides, a clear roll of fat appears. I pause the show and look closer.
Mariah Carey has drawn a six pack on her stomach. Let me repeat that. Mariah Carey has drawn a six pack on her stomach. She shaded the sides and actually drew lines where abs would be on a person who was in shape (with shading underneath each to make them look contoured). Now, that is sad. Couldn't be sadder.
Seen this weekend: Sandra Bernhard at the playground. She is indeed as ugly in person as she appears to be on tv.

Maybe this is W-A-T-E-R under the bridge, but it IS a fact that if he wants to stay with his wife he WILL have to accept that she cheated on him and get past it.

Wow. At least they could have drawn them better. They look like He-Man's abs. Way too masculine for a woman. Even when women have visible ab muscles, they don't look like that.

Oddly, in this one, from the same site, the lines don't appear -- airbrushed out in the closeup?

Ah. I'm a dumbass, then. It looked like the same outfit and said it was the Macy's 4th event.
ETA seriously, I'm confused -- she's wearing the same two outfits in the frames from the E! special. Was she prerecorded and the recording aired on the 4th? Because it seems weird for anyone that famous to wear the same outfits twice. And she would have had to haul it back from London after performing at Live8 there on Saturday, though that's not undoable.
