gwnc is my lawtalkers fashion icon. I'm not sure that she would approve of the Banana Republic (yes, Banana Republic) pants, but they are grey, flat front pants that complement the outfit nicely, so I'm not disappointed with the selection.
Leather assless chaps
Sleeveless mesh tee
Plaid codpiece
Big Gorilla Feet Shoes

You're all picturing it, aren't you? Isn't it awesome?

I don't care. And which "rip" are you referring to? I didn't say anything positive or negative about your clothing selections. Just that I don't wear those brands. Someone here defines herself by her labels. Let's see if we can figure out who that person is.

I like my Gap pants. Actually I have both a grey pair and a black pair of them.

Medications will be allowed but must be presented for inspection at security checkpoints.

Mothers can bring baby formula on board, but only after drinking it in front of security officials first.

All shoes must be removed and placed on an X-ray belt for screening.

Passengers are also asked to arrive at least two hours early to allow for additional screening.

Passengers traveling to the United Kingdom should contact their airline for information about any extra security measures or precautions that might be required. Laptop computers, mobile phones and iPods are among items banned on British flights.
What if a father wants to bring on baby formula? Sexist fucks at the TSA.

I don't define myself by labels. If I thought Target had good quality I'd buy it. I just happen to like well cut, beautiful materials; nice patterns. "The anti PPNYC" that is a rip. I'm saying I'm *not* a style icon although it was noted today that I am very professionally dressed at all times.

I approve of Gap pants, although they do not fit me all that well. I wear Gap t-shirts now and then.

Today I have on an obscure designer dress with another obscure designer crochet cardigan over it. It is obscure designer day in gwnc-land.

Thank God TSA is keeping this country safe.
True. Octogenarians are very dangerous. They have been known to spray their perfume repeatedly in airplane cabins, nearly disabling passengers who, in the event of a water landing, would have been responsible for opening the hatch and inflating the slide.

You take the strangest things personally. Seriously. I don't care what brands you wear, and I have nothing against them generally, because I'm not overly concerned with what label is in clothing, but that you happen to wear them does not speak highly of them.

I do consider myself the anti-ppnyc, but that isn't any knock on the brands. I kind of dig being smart and funny. And I don't think that guys who are nice to me in Starbucks necessarily want to fuck me right there. Though, who knows, perhaps some of them do.

You are willing to fuck dead people but draw the line if they are wearing Gap?

Don't forget pretty.......

I aspire to be like ncs, although my way of manifesting my anti-ppnyc-ness is to never be dressed professionally at any time. And lots of guys want to fuck me in a Starbucks.

Perfume is flammable, no?

(Even so, I still think the regulations are stupid.)

I was on a quick schmoke break and since there was nothing new over there I looked here. I am off to a meeting in a minute.

Quick thought, I don't understand why alll the pissing and moaning about the TSA regs. Obviously when you have huge air traffic and you have idenfitied security risks there has to be a way to secure the risks and ensure that they are minimised, although it will never be perfect.

Several years back, while waiting in a long security check-line where I saw several children being pulled to be strip searched (which seems incongruent with all of the profiles, sorry Ty, of terrorists) I felt fed up and wanted to scream, but then I asked myself, "I wonder if the people who were on the flights that were crashed on 911 would have minded an extra half-hour wait and some 'onerous' regulations". My own biased thought was that they probably would have traded a half an hour of that morning for their continued existence, but who knows.

Anyhoo, as a response to my frustration I went out a bought a fractional share in a private jet. A business expense (if utilised correctly, according to my accountant, hi Bill!), so deductible. No rules there. I pay to play.

After all, its just commerce, if you don't like the product, go find another one.

helpfully yours,

P
