Then i ask for Prarie Rose, from the 4th Roxy Music album- he was a big big fan of early Roxy. What are the odds?

Well, the problem with that is I've heard black women (and other racial types of woman) referred to as "exotic" when they (specifically) and generations before them came from this country. I also don't understand why white is considered any less foreign than black. And I think there are white women out there who definitely look "exotic." But maybe I'm just all screwed up because I never closely examined the etymological root of the word and everyone else who uses it has that firm understanding.
Maybe we can change all the references to "Abercrombie" or "Non-Abercrombie."

Things that suck
another installment in a periodic series.
Going to a chamber music concert at the onset of a cold. I was doing everything I could from loudly hacking up a lung during the movements, and I was (partially) successful, but it totally took away any enjoyment I would have had of the Tokyo String Quartet. (Beehtoven, Webern and Schubert, for those who are interested.)
In a separate category, the cold, no longer in onset stage, sucks too.

The inclusion of one of your examples (see if you can guess which one) renders the point you're trying to make with this list completely ineffective.

That's what makes her so "exotically" hot. I disagree with TM's definition of "exotic." I think it does cover foreign chicks, but lately, I think it also covers slightly flawed chicks who are not perfect. Maybe its just a way to describe the anti-LA-prefect-California-blond.
The French chick looks like a woman could meet, and if all things worked, including the Rohypnol in her drink, you might be able to actually land her. That attainableness/regularness is really sexy. But we can't call it "regular" cause that's not very flattering or interesting. So we call it exotic.
...Or I'm just fucking deluded beyond belief and think I can do a lot better than I can, which is more than entirely possible.

Join the club. But you are stuck as I am stuck. So deal with it.
In other news. Clay Aiken's new look and comments about the gay rumors.
Quote:
On whether he's gay: "What do you say (to that question)? … It's like when I was 8. I remember something would get broken in the house, and Mom and Dad would call me in and say, 'Did you do this?' Well, it didn't matter what I said. The only thing they would believe was yes. … People are going to believe what they want."
|
That's not a definitive no.

Actually, I think we agree. If you have a definition of classic good looks that is as inclusive as mine (and apparently Tax-Wonk's-minus-one), then beauty that is substantially different than classic would be exotic.

Oh, I don't like this picture so much as Coltrane's. But I still like her hair.
