It's like saying the drunken sex wasn't good (sorry, Sebby, but it just seems that way because you're drunk).
In recent memory, I'd have to say the appearance by OutKast was pretty good, considering that their prior show (with the horrendous Jonny Moseley as host) made no impression on me.

This also would have been equally true of Norah Jones if EVERY SINGLE FUCKING ORGANISM on the planet, including several lacking eardrums, didn't already own that CD.

Thank you. Thank you very much.

Direct sales of wine.

Crop. Overgrowing, to be exact. Overplanting, good yields, consistent good quality, which means that that premium grape you spent beaucoup bucks growing is now too common.

And yet I am.

I am not in wine country, but am close enough to be able to go a few times/year. 2 weeks ago on a Christmas shopping spree up in Napa, I was told in no uncertain terms that they would only ship to certain states when she gave me their 1-800 number. And then the person at Mail Boxes Etc. said the same thing. Maybe they were wrong. I just think it's stupid.

Please let this be a joke. I will have to reformat all paigow-information-tables that I have assembled to date in order to reconcile this unfortunate piece of news. And here I thought we had similar taste in men. This could take some time.

Carry on.

I know I have been inspired to buy at least one album based on a performance though I cannot remember who it was. I also remember thinking Hole doing Violet was phenomenal. And Kid Rock doing some tune that had like twenty covers, including Sweet Hole ALabama was really good. Thats how I know I like him in addition to that other song he had that was big circa 1999.

And I bought "Yes I am " based on Etheridge's performance of I'm the Only One on Letterman.

Some wineries will offer to broker a shipment for you. That is, they sell it to you "at the winery" and take your shipment and ship it in your name to your state (if it's not a reciprocal state with CA). If the winery itself ships to you, (or friend) in an illegal state, they can be charged with a felony. Of course, shipping wine to yourself is also a felony in some states, but the winery doesn't care, since they're off the hook.

Stupid laws, yes.

Is Being Drunk Fun?

I don't think it is.
Could not agree more. The story I told before that let to my public emetic episode was completely unintentional. I was at "buzz only" stage when I was indoors, but when I left, I had the works: dizziness, head spinning, could barely walk...

When I got home, I just collapsed on the floor. My husband wanted to help me up so I could sleep in the bed, and I just said, "NO! Just DRAG me!!" I seriously couldn't even stand up. Gross.

I cannot remember when (either before or since) I have felt so awful the next morning. I tried to call some friends who are heavy partiers** for some remedy recommendations, but the sense I got was that time was the only healer.

I found the only healer to be good 'ol fashioned emesis (although, I would have preferred this remedy to have been applied in the confines of a bathroom -- or even a nearby garbage can...). When I told my secretary what happened when I got to work, she could not stop laughing. That bitch. ***

**I would ordinarily not use this word, but as it has been bandied about today, I thought it would be self-referentially ("self" being the board) ironic to use it now -- so how do all y'all like it?

***Actually, not a bitch at all, but a real peach. It just sounded better calling her a bitch.

Seriously, Paigow, you need to stop posting your music preferences. The computers are overloading from the outlier data, and we may never see NCS again.

I liked OutKast on SNL, but generally the musical performances there suck. Bad audio.

Tee hee hee. Funny.

As a timmy aside, do all of the people who type "ass" instead of "add" during their posts (typically, I have nothing else to ass, but...) do it intentionally? God that irritates me.

We're terribly insulted by your ridiculous limiting of our musical taste.

We're listening to MMW right now.
