BOSTON — Thousands of New England Patriots fans swarmed into the streets after the team's white-knuckle Super Bowl win, and some turned rowdy, overturning cars and lighting small fires. One person was killed when an SUV backed into a group of revelers.
I just don't get it. I am a sports fanatic on many levels but I just don't see myself tipping over cars, lighting fires and killing people because my team won (or lost, as the case may be). How does vandalism and death grow from "I am so damned happy that [insert your team here] won"? :shakehd:

TF: I looked for you on TV at the ATL/TOR game. Assuming that you were in the front row, which is the only row that's remotely visible but still isn't very easy to see in your arena, I saw two women who might have been you. One was wearing a gamer, fairly near the players' bench in the end you mentioned, the other was wearing a white turtleneck or sweater on the opposite side of the players' bench. Am I right? Close?
Sorry about the result, but that Stajan goal was a beaut.

Of course they would never admit that here, though.

Well, if nothing else, you're doing a great job of calling me on all the slack I get from everyone. Good work.

Am I the only degenerate who finds all this gambling talk from ncs hot?
I was a little disappointed by the number of superbowl ads that went for the cheap laugh by using a chimp or monkey without much else. Use a little effort, for god sakes. Humans, and their crutches.

Not having seen the Great Jackson Nipple Baring, I wonder whether you all think it was planned or not. From the photo I saw in the paper this a.m., she was Not Amused, but then maybe she's just a gifted thesbian. Why wear a bodice with detachable breastplates if you do not mean to detach them? This question has plagued me all morning, and if I can find an answer to anywhere, that place is here. When Justin Timberlake said in his statement that he regretted the "wardrobe malfunction," was he regretting that both both breasts weren't aired? Were the lights supposed to go off like that, or can we imagine that someone in the control booth said, "Oh my God -- kill the power!"

this is not a gratuitous compliment. with this, the new avatar and the butt on Adult, you have certainly found some interesting new uses of computer technology. It shows that while some geeks are doing stupid things like naming their kids 2.0, other geeks are developing imporatant new software.

The most recent spin I heard was that he was supposed to rip the leather off, revealing the lace lingerie underneath, and somehow :eyeroll: the lace ended up being ripped off too.

Nope, not me. I couldn't get close to the ice that night (I think security has a photo of me). Alas, I must keep my sorry ass back in the second ring of seats -- but they front row and very decently situated. I drank quite a bit. I waved at something resembling a camera many times (or it could have been a fat chick) -- sorry you didn't see me.
We don't play Toronto at home again this season, but I will install a webcam and wave at you during the playoffs from my basement since the fucking Thrashers apparently have no intention of going to any playoff games either.

I think the lighting was supposed to go at that point regardless; it was just too fast. The camera switch, however, was almost certainly in response, just not quite fast enough, given the 7 second delay. In fact, the seven second delay is one of the reasons why I suspect the whole thing was planned. They could have switched out to the full field shot earlier had they wanted to. Eirther they meant to show it, or someone in the booth wasn't paying enough attention.
