Hey, guys, I'm thinking of gong to law school if Mondale/Ferraro don't win or I don't get that job as a gopher down in DC. I'll probably go to Harvard, but if I don't get in, what do you think, am I better off sticking around Boston and going to BU or BC and building my political base or heading to Georgetown? I'm really hoping that if we don't do it this time, Jesse will do it next time and maybe I can get a job at Labor or something.

Wonderful post.

Oddly enough, I still would have been saying that Led Zeppelin should be No. 2 on any Greatest Bands list.

The more things change.....

(Though I guess I would have needed a different name, since Sidd Finch didn't come along until the following April).

Anatomy Newsflash!

This just in: Size Does Matter.

In bonus news for Northerners, scientists also found a correlation of (ahem) bone size with higher latitudes. This explains much for the attitudes prevalent among male New Yorkers, but fails to explain the more mellow personas of, say, Canadians.

Interesting news from someone who recently moved to a city with a warmer climate.

I'd be talking about whalin' Halen; how High n Dry as proof that Def Leppard was more than just a one hit wonder to that snot on the schoolbus and how getting baked was so much funner than drinking. thank you Dave for taking me behind the woods of the middle school that day. i have never been the same.

I said that to point out her opinion would be different if the color of the skin of the person making the comments was black. She was being a big hypocrite by claiming that it wasn't the content of what I said that she was trying to censor. Then you all took that to mean I was black.
Actually, what you said was something like, "Would your opinion change if I told you that I was a black woman?" This is confusing at best and intentionally misleading at worst.

He does this because he believes that this serves his own personal interests and doesn't care if it is a destructive and divisive tactic. In his mind, it benefits him and that is good enough for him.

You and the others wallowing in your white guilt cut him slack because he is black. You treat him differently, better, but still differently because he is black. Now that is racism.
You are an idiot. I do not throw those terms around "willy nilly." I use it when it applies. You proved in your post that you are not interested in having an actual conversation about the particular race issue that you brought up for no reason. Your only intention was to bait people into a conversation about race so you could say things like "You and the others wallowing in your white guilt cut him slack because he is black. You treat him differently" and "Tiger Woods hates himself because he dates white women" (or whatever it was you said).

You are a troll and not worth anyone's time. I have no idea why anyone on this board talks to you about any subject whatsoever. But the fact that they do shows the joke's on them.

Fortunately, scientists have determined no "shrinkage" factor among migratory mammals.

I expected this or an overdose any day. He was in a downward spiral from day one, and depressives are far more likely to commit suicide on an upswing than they are at the depths. If I'd been in a death pool that year, Cobain would have been my number one with a bullet. Or a shotgun shell.

That's good news for the ladies at Century Village-West Palm Beach, who are happily anticipating the migrations of bilmore and PLF.

A lot of people do. There are dozens of websites dedicated to that. If you've ever seen the "suicide note" it will make you wonder.

I was in the neighborhood the day "he was murdered" and hundreds of people went to his house for a vigil that lasted for days. Courtney flew up from LA and would make the obligatory "photo ops" with the crying mob. She was hateful. And didn't look so very sad for someone who had lost her husband. Of course she was heavily into the heroin at the time, but whatever. I saw too much of HER face during that time.

My str8 moment of glory - since I worked in his neighborhood, I actually got to meet him. He came in with Krist Novoselic (who is absolutely huge - over 6'4" (taller than Hank!). Kurt was a very soft spoken and polite person. With haunting eyes. His death was a great loss to the music industry.

Wow. I'm a real downer. Guess you're all out looking for the suicide note. Here's something NOT PC to cheer people up.

It turns out that I was thinking of this "Sidd Finch" character, who seems to be swinging his foot back and leaning in a way designed to get maximum ass-mountain arousal, from what I can tell.

Ok, I am in need of a media cabinet. I have had to combine two collections of cds, dvds and video tapes. I have never had a formal media cabinet before, just a shelf really, but that won't work. I want to be able to hide the items, cause, well, ugly.

I also don't have a huge amount of space. I have two choices really. One is the item can be about 20.5 inches wide, 55 inches high and in the range of 13-17 inches deep. The second is it can be 29 high, 27 wide and 13-17 inches deep.

I prefer wood furniture, dark in colour, simple lines.

Any suggestions?

No Kurt's death wasn't a big deal for me. I believe I thought something like oh well, there goes another one, shame really.
41Hx23.25wx12d. 250 cds, 175 dvds your choice of wood. Black, cherry, maple, walnut. Shown in cherry. Optional doors.

salamander Not cheap, but I'm sure your new girlfriend can pitch in.
