If my husband (hahahahahha) fucked a hooker purely because he had to "even the playing field" for an actual affair I had, I would think he was a pathetic loser. I might stay with him out of pity, though.

Not directed to me but I'll answer -- yes, it would bother me, but not because I would have been cheated on. I would be upset because he would have exposed me to god knows what diseases and because I would not respect someone who did that and would be repulsed.
I could get past being cheated on, but I don't know that I could be with someone who was with a hooker.

Sometimes it's a symptom of a person who doesn't want to be monogamous, but that's still a problem that should be addressed.

Okay, since we are being all mature and serious here....
It really depends -- did she just fuck/have a fling, or is she getting serious about someone else? My response would depend on that. If the former, I'd want to know why more than anything. If the latter, I'd clear my bank accounts and be prepared for war. You shouldn't assume the situation is salvageable any more than you should assume that cuckold, if he's real, wants to get out.
Sebby's advice, as usual, is amusing but not something any real person should pay attention to. If the plan is to 'even the score', you're best off just dumping her and moving on.

Oh, you've nailed me. I was hoping to get her to give me some local counsel work on the Auchincloss file. I figured I'd dazzle her with some first year black letter contract law. Damn you, Fringey.
BTW, the real rule is totally what I said. A breach excuses future performance.

Not married, but I think it would bother me if my husband fucked anyone who wasn't me.

I never thought you wanted work. I figured it was an auto-response on your part. You are dastardly!

I haven't made it through all these posts yet, but, tell me, why hasn't anyone yet suggested the obvious?

On that note, make sure you cancel credit card accounts, move money into your own bank account, etc., so that she can't go apeshit and spend you both into bankruptcy when she finds out you've filed for divorce.

Here's the real question: What's the relationship like. If it's a solid relationship but she was kind of out with some friends and needed some spice from some 20 year old that's one thing.
Case in point fuck my wife, please! NOT WORK SAFE!!! DUH!!!
But if the relationship was fucked up, or she has her own issues, then I say get outta Dodge.

I think in "fault" divorce states, you cheating on the cheater is not going to let you stay the good guy. In fact, I think that if both people cheat it maybe even keeps you from getting a divorce on the grounds of infidelity. So your black-letter law about UCC shit is blowhardy crap.

Are you still sticking with the death row spouse hypo here?

The more obvious tack to take would have been "anyone who would marry you is obviously a pathetic loser." I commend you on sticking to your death-row guns.
