- "The only question I have about Sheryl Crow is, what is she going to do about the excrement for brains that she has? And these people wonder why Karl Rove has no desire to talk to them?"
Thing is, though, he seems a little obsessed with poop hygiene.
- "Sheryl Crow, let me just warn you about something: if you actually try this -- only use one square of toilet paper for every bathroom visit -- the only thing you're going to be attracting in the next couple of days is flies."
"If it could be shown that Al Gore and Rosie O'Donnell will only use one square of toilet paper, then I'll join this club. But the dirty little secret is I have a bidet. I've never figured out how to use the stupid thing, though; they were put in when I had no choice in the matter."

Ah, no wonder:
- "You said you only want to lose 15 or 20 pounds? Hell, I used to be able to do that going to the bathroom."

Do you think Lance dumped Sheryl over hygiene issues?

I think Lance dumped her because he's a pussyhound. What I wonder is if Larry David could be convinced to follow that rule.

So, if a Scientologist dies and his family wants that emblem put on, do they have to pay a licensing fee to that church? (This would not surprise me; it would for Islam, however).

Wrong. We started bombing Afghanistan on October 7, less than a month after 9/11. Mazar-i-Sharif fell on November 9 and Kabul fell on November 13. Kandahar fell in December, which also is when the battle of Tora Bora was.
You are correct, though, if you are trying to suggest that Bush did not make any efforts to change our policy after he was elected and before 9/11.

Yes. We have certainty now where there was uncertainty before, and that is good. Like fresh bread, a small good thing.

That's not a very charitable way of saying "you were right all along."

Roving indeed
So, Hillary says that if elected Bill would become a roving ambassador.
If Segolene Royal wins in France, does this not have international incident written all over it?

Alors! A post that permits me to mention the force de frappe, which surely will deter any unpleasantness.

I suppose a religion could own copyrights in a certain depiction of a symbol. copyrights do expire eventually, and the muslim star is ancient right? so it had to be on the particular depiction, i guess.

for what it's worth I don't believe clinton wrong for not going into afghanistan- until 9/11 it would be tought to believe the potential scope of the danger. but clinton not attacking after the Embassies or the cole, bush couldn't come in and say" umm, Clinton should have attacked before, now I will."

Why? I c an see your argument that it's no fair to criticize Bush for his thinking on WMD because so many others also thought Saddam had them. However, to go on to say that Barack's position that we shouldn't have gone in would be an "ultimately, deadly"position makes no sense. After all, he didn't actually have WMD.

Who should Clinton have attacked after the embassy bombings?

I would construe your post as suggesting that Clinton should have attacked someone, somehow, for the bombings of the embassies and the Cole, but it was reasonable for him to have declined to invade Afghanistan. In the future, when you are a great, great man, scholars will parse your posts here and wonder what you were getting at.
