I think that what punches holes in your theory is that a lot of women that fit the criteria of what you find hot are usually not super bright. [I'm sure there are a few that are, you can be bright and hot, you can be bright and plain.]

In all seriousness, lots of women decide the corner office is not for them. They opt out. They view power and success differently; they define it on an individual level........they need some support at home if they chose to pursue the power route. Many of the women that are successful....have stay at home husbands. Carly Fiorina comes to mind.

I hate that kind of shit too - because it is such an obvious ploy. He's said something kind of stupid, and kind of rude, but he thinks tossing the bone of 'cuz they rule us' will deflect criticism for the silliness he's trying to present. It's insulting all around - but whatever. I found some of the article amusing.

Kidding aside, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts. As for me, I thought that Hitchens was wrong in a few of his factual assertions, two of which come to mind -- that no man has ever described a woman to a friend as funny, and that no women comics engage in gross humor.

No dude has described a chick to a friend as funny. One example is merely anecdotal, but just yesterday (or the day before, maybe?) included the word "funny" in my description of a chick to another friend. I assume that others here have done so, too. At least when describing funny chicks.

No women comics engage in potty humor. (At least I think that he said that.) Margaret Cho and Sarah Silverman do, IIRC. Ms. Silverman may fall under the Jewish comic exception that Hitchens mumbled something about.

And I disagree with the premise, too. Many of the FB Lay-dees are funny. My daughter is funny. Heck, my wife is even funny on occasion. Maybe Chris needs to get out more.
