However, white chocolate is not chocolate, at least as far as the FDA is concerned.

But fear not, as of Jan. 1, there are new standards for white chocolate, which is now its own kind of food.

Because Ty has been wondering about this, too.

I haven't had Entemann's in years. What about Freihofer's? They still around? Or is that just an upstate thing?

ETA - basically same as Entemann's, turns out... See here - http://www.business.strose.edu/48299/ElizBiette/p5.html

So you did like Timberlake's performance with Janet Jackson -- is that what you're saying?

hi RP!
Hi Ty! (Edited gratuitously so I could get the urge out of my system. RP)
So, how's it going?
it is sort of fun isn't it? ncs
Yes. But I find it funny that I'm a Mod now, given my propensity to quote my posts instead of edit them. I just licked that habit and now I'm at risk of editing people instead of quoting. Scary stuff. RP
What's with all the redundant tags? Sheesh.
Code Timmy.

Now I like black and white cookies. Speaking of cookies, and other pastry type things, recently I had a beavertail for the first time in a long time. Except it was called a "queue de castor" because I was in Quebec. Now that is a tasty treat.

edited to note that I am indifferent to Justin Timberlake. He seems kind of eunuch-like.

Beavertail sounds more appetizing. Two great tastes that taste great together. That's what I'm thinking.

Those are just the delivery folks. Freihofer's remains the only cookie with a bit of kahlua in it, and are still baked by a local bakery. An upstate/Western New England traditon.

I just ran across this on Westlaw (my issue has nothing to do with this):

"In this sense, they are no different than the plethysomograph test designed to measure changes in the circumference of the penis when exposed to video or audio stimuli..."

Those are eat-the-whole-fucking-box-at-once good. And I am not particularly a chocolate person. Hell, I haven't even tried MOC yet and I could just run to the store for it here...

I will add that the Beavertail pastry is based on an old voyageur recipe but was first commercially introduced to the Canadian public by a woman named Grandma Hooker. So there you go.

It's the kahlua, not the chocolate.

Next time you have an urge for cookies, get Nestle's tollhouse cookies and add a bunch of kahlua -- you get something that tastes a lot like Friehofers.

Adding other liquors to tollhouse cookies is also a good idea. Never seems to go wrong, and the possibilities are endless.

Grandma Hooker must have got around. She is now hawking these ornaments.

(spree: Chamber of Commerce site for Hooker, OK; disappointing pictures)

And clothing.
