If, after I was dead, my mom, dad, wife, and/or kids, went to the length of protest of the mission I believed in (and used my death in carrying out that mission as an emtional backdrop for that protest), I would, from the grave, consider that a disrespect of an honourable and honest choice I had made and my beliefs in making them.

No doubt he made his choices and you are right - he might not agree with what his Mom is doing. But it sounds like she's doing what she believes in too just like her son did. She's against the war and her own son died in it so how could his death not be the "emotional backdrop"? I don't know if she is unfairly "using" her son but yes, many groups are unfairly using his death when they shout things like "W killed her son" while protesting. I just hate to see her made fun of because in the end she's still a grieving mother.
That said, she doesn't help things by saying stuff like 'Our president is moronic....this country is not worth dying for" and the occasions where she has been caught lying about everything from who paid cemetary/headstone costs to her anti-Israel statements (caught on paper, after her denail). If she continues with shit like that, then I think she becomes fair game for getting lampooned.

I saw the post title and thought you might be commenting on LessInMexico's current beachfront sexploitation tour. No?
PS: Why is everybody so mean to poor ol' loveable Hank? It's just plain cruel, I tells ya.

It's a free country. I gave you your own space and asked you to quit your bitching here, but you can post wherever you like.

I believe Ty was expressing irritation at Hank's posting style, which Hank apparently believes is deep with meaning but which Ty sees as devoid of any content at all.
My response points to Hank's somewhat unorthodox threat to remove himself from our community if we did not rise up as one and condemn Ty for his act of apostasy.

No. Moderators have the right to bitch at other posters too. Hank's dogged complaints appear to get under Ty's skin at times, which (I suspect) is part of the reason why Hank does so.

You kidding? Look at that avatar. Kim Jong Il Hank won't get the benefit of the doubt. Auntie Bea Hank, maybe.
