It's been done. More or less. I'm pretty anti- buying him anything he doesn't need because we are up to our eyeballs in stuff and thinking of relocating to a smaller place at some point (if one or both of us can work out an ABBA-esque sabattical). I might cook for him or something on Saturday. He would never expect that!

I'd wear a lot of pantsuits.
Like Hillary. And Kim Jong Il.

His name was Carl Moffatt. He was a grain steward in Providence in the 1700s. Second cousin of Betsy Ross.

Cool!
I'm great at knitting but I suck at sewing things together. I have a 90% finished sweater I made myself and an throw I made for a friend's wedding present. The worst part about the throw is that I have dawdled so long that they are now getting divorced. My friend will get custody of the blankie, which I hope to finish, finally, in the next few months.

This is a sort of first attempt at the sewing together. I have used a grafting stitch to sew straps on to purses and to make a bunch of felted chains with a lot of success, so if the sewing doesn't work, I'll try for the grafting.
I have a few baby blankets that are in half stages of knitting right now. This blanket has taken top priority because I have to finish it before December 13. I have about 20 squares knitted and I have a shit load more to do. Fortunately, it doesn't take all that long to do them. Hopefully none of the babies are early.

Not bad. Just a little longer and you can go for the Punisher look.

Who saw them at ACL? I'm watching it in HD on PBS right now. Holy shit it's awesome. I have a band boner. They are actually making my 16 oz can of Old Style taste good.
