"I'll be back" wasn't cheesy in The Terminator, but since Arnold himself uttered it repeatedly and cheesily (as opposed to third-party bad comics and imitators), I think it is legitimately criticized as cheesy as uttered in later movies. There's an argument to be had that the later utterings should be counted in that case, at least.

Actors rendering a potentially unobjectionable line cheesy should be fair game - otherwise the question become "cheesiest scripts written" rather than "cheesiest lines uttered."

Could someone please send over a non-ugly, imaginative painter guy (or two) to touch up a couple places where I didn't get complete coverage. Thanks much.

Both the Cameron and the Keanu lines I find unobjectionable. Though, I don't find coming in someone's mouth meaningful. Is Vanilla Sky worth seeing?

I hope so. That line alone has bumped the movie up my list of Things to Watch.

Skewed Persepctive

From espn.com. Apparently there is some hullabaloo over something Sprewell said to a heckling fan. His response was caught by a courtside microphone and broadcast. No word on whether the FCC is involved, but the stations have instituted a 7 second delay for future broadcasts.

What really caught my eye was this tidbit:
Quote:
The 34-year-old Sprewell also demanded that the Timberwolves either extend his contract or trade him, saying, "I've got my family to feed." The comment by Sprewell, who will make $14.6 million this season in the final year of his deal, drew criticism from NBA commissioner David Stern.
How big is his family? What the heck does he feed them?

You doofus. Titanic was a documentary. Leo DiCaprio's great grandfather actually said those things before he froze to death. You already knew the ending if you took history in grade school. Spoiler space - sheesh.

Stone Cold starring Brian "Boz" Bosworth.

Possible the most underrated genre film of all time.

Hell no. But the original Spanish film "Abre los Ojos" is.

Like "I'm getting too old for this shit". That is de rigeur.

On another, almost related note, I am thinking about ordering Sudden Death on dvd from Amazon (if it is on dvd) and wondering if I'm losing my mind.

That is a fabulous movie. Where else can you see the best series ender of the stanley cup ever - a helicopter crashing onto the ice at the final buzzer?

Rent "Abre Los Ojos", the movie on which it is based. Much better, and penelope Cruz sounds much less vapid when she speaks Spanish.

ETA: scroll, post, etc.

My favorite action movie line, Wesley Snipes in Passenger 57, "Always bet on black <click>."

No no, it's good to have a second opinion sometimes.

More so than Roadhouse?

I liked Vanilla Sky. But I would also fuck Tom Cruise. So take that into account.
