At a guess, the FAA says that the airlines shall institute procedures for this and that, and what they FAs are calling FAA regs often are really airline policies instituted in accordance with the regs.
And next time you get pissed off that an FA tells you to move your child seat to the window seat, remember that some passenger probably sued the airline because he tripped over his own kid's seat and sprained his ankle when getting up to pee. In other words, it's always the lawyers' fault.

Small volume. FAR. Fed Airline Regs. Every flight employee gets one.

Boy, you are easily irritated. You and BnB have your cycles in synch?

Next time you see him you can tell him it isn't true. Then you'll be the alpha male of your little pack.

And if someone is unwilling to cooperate with an FA to the extent necessary to give an audible response, it would be entirely legitimate for the FA to conclude that that person would not be willing to listen to flight crew instructions in the event of an emergency (which you're supposed to do when you're in an exit row, even if the flight crew is bitchy).

Jesus man, has your ascension to partner affected you so greatly that you have to agree with whatever the man tells you to do? Sell out. Next thing you know, you're going to be telling me to pay my taxes and shit.

Undoubtedly she did get a power rush from telling BnB that she could move to another seat if she refused to comply with the (really simple) requirement of responding audibly to an inquiry. But are you suggesting that BnB didn't also get a little rush of power from her lawyerly (though probably incorrect) feeling of knowing the regs better than the silly FA?
*She was probably half-right about that -- it's probably airline policy instituted in response to FAA regs.
|
Apparently this would matter to you. I wasn't a lawyer at the time.
I didn't get a rush from telling her anything. I was dumbfounded that she said what she said. And thought that she was fucking with me. Which made me hate her.
My general hatred of flight attendants comes from countless experiences just like this one.

Oh come on. Now you're stretching it. The next (pretty small) step in your argument is that she should have been moved or thrown off the flight.
"Can you say yes?"
is a bit different than
"Assume crash positions because we're all going to fucking die!"
Don't you think?

First, it's Ascension with a capital A.
Second, I am the man now, and so I do believe people should do what the man says.
Third, don't talk to me about taxes. What do you think I'm so cranky lately?
Fourth, shouldn't you be billing?

Don't guess. If you want my business, you should be sending Atticus to the library so he can write a memo you'll slap your name on.

That's a bilmore quote. So, I don't understand your post.

Yes, but the latter is different from "you stay here and make sure everyone gets out safely before you get out..... oh, wait -- you're the bitch who was too self-centered even to say "yes" audibly for me. Nice tits."

Game on, eh?
As much fun as it is to debate airline behavior, it's time for some hockey.
Hank, your Little Ceasar's theory on how to curse the fucking Red Wings failed. I ate crappy pizza for nothing. NOTHING! Last night therefore sucked. I blame you, Hank. You.
Tonight, ah tonight -- big games in the East. Huge. Leafs versus Ottowa. And the Devils versus the Flyers.
Air Canada (oops, an airline mention!) CentRE will be rocking tonight. What a game. Can Belfour's back hold up? Will Leetch score? Can the pitiful (other than Leetch) Toronto blue line stop the Ottowa offense?
In the other big game, will the hated Devils make the face-painted Puddy a happy man? Will the gamble of Not Bobby Clarke ("goalies? I don't need no stinkin goalies!") backfire? Can JR slip one past Mahr-taaan? Wouldn't you like to see them both lose?
Not Bob's prediction? Toronto and New Jersey win. (As for the other games, who really cares?)

Not silly. Intentionally stupid and hard headed.
Bnb was talking.
The announcements were made, probably using a microphone.
Someone on your flight was drunk and yelling.
The two things are unrelated and you only brought up your example because you are bilmore.
