Perhaps my aura screams "I'm into sex anywhere, anyhow, anytime" more than most, but Mr. Kiss and I have been propositioned many, many, many times by various friends from different circles and of different ages.

Came up in conversation with a Canadian we just met in a foreign country on vacation -- he was there on his own while separated from his wife due, in part, to swinging. For whatever reason, told Mr. Kiss and me all about it.

Friends of ours (meaning several couples, only one of which is married) followed through. Of course, we all got the details which were almost, but not quite, TMI for me. Mr. Kiss and I have never swung together though. Too weird when you actually care about someone.

But in short, swingers -- or wannabes -- are everywhere.

Unfortunately, no advice that's really good. As I implied, associates in the situation I know of got their asses subpoened. Questioning seemed to center around non-workday activities; i.e., "was he with you in the conference room preparing for court or out at a 'deposition' with that bimbo?" type questions.

The one thing that seemed to help some avoid some suspicion were those who kept their time in a calendar, marking the exact time starting and stopping for each client rather than just the number of hours. Thus they could flip to their calendars and easily respond "Yes. The 29th. Mr. Rughead partner made me cancel my dinner plans with my college roommate who was in town for the day only to research 19th century water rights law in Utah for a meeting he had in the a.m. I reported the results of my quick research project at 11:30 pm and then went home, disgusted with my existence. He was alone in his office when we spoke, and fully clothed."

My bf was propositioned by another guy for us to have a 3way with him. We later heard from people who know the guy better than we do that he often wanders around propositioning couples for this. He is very interested in the MMF thing apparently. NTTAWWT. But we weren't interested. He likely was all talk. Just from what I know of him (he most likely would have had alcohol-related issues with going through with anything). Or maybe he has Sebby-esque bedroom powers.* I doubt it though.


*no comment on whether or not Sebby is a stud drunkard IRL or if it is in his head intended

This is where the niceness goes out the window, at least from my husband's perspective. We live in the suburbs but, to my knowledge, we have never been propositioned so I called and asked him what he thought about the current FB topic*. He said the following:

Good for him. Women who let themselves be used as the ticket price for their husbands to get access to other women are pretty damn stupid. Unless the other woman's husband is really hot and you would like to do him, but from all I have heard, it is usually the man who is pressuring the wife to do this so that he can get access to other women.

He is "straight". He recently moved out after living with a long-term gf. I believe that his raging alcoholism (not a term I throw around lightly) had something to do with the demise of that relationship.

As I think I mentioned last Fri., Mrs. Hand and I saw Liz Phair over the weekend as part of a triple bill with Barenaked Ladies and Jason Mraz.

Unfortunately, Liz had laryngitis and only did 2 numbers... Her throat ailment did not however detract from the fact that she is still h-hot... BNL did a longer set to make up for it, so that was fine, but my Liz staring and drooling time was sadly cut short.

Jason Mraz' hat for the evening summed up the dreams of many guys in the audience: "Liz Phair Wants Me".

As for Swingers, great flick. Favreau and Vaughn are so money and they don't even know it.

Now, now. ShapeShifter may get seriously inebriated from time to time, and end the day (again) in the Drunk Lizard/World Ruler Tank, and ask us (again) for bail money, but "raging alcoholism" seems a bit strong.
