Agreed. (sigh) I hate to admit it, but I love the scene where he fights with the mascot. Also, real NHL footage!! Just ordered it.

Geez, Ty. Even I don't dislike her that much. Fringey, I assumed your question was rhetorical. If it wasn't, the answer is no.

More so than Roadhouse?

Roadhouse shouldn't be underrated.
It's a classic gem belonging on every DVD shelf.

He's Just Not That Into You

Anyway, I have friends who have read this book and quote it like gospel - very annoying - but apparently it says that if he's into you, he will ask you out, he will do this, he will do that blah blah blah. So the chick is to remain passive or else go out and find herself someone who is "into" her. Whatever. I'm not sure why all these girls are quoting this book as gospel. Sounds like a new twist on the Rules.
|
I haven't read it either (Why should I? No one's into me.) but have wondered about the concept.
So guys, has there ever been a chick you were into, that you didn't ask out (assuming that she gave you signs of being interested in to and, of course, that you were available to be doing any asking)?

I hope you factored in that I am quite behind in my board reading. Almost skipped that day!
BTW, what is so bad about a guy being "not all that into" you -- unless you've been dating for awhile and think it is serious when it isn't? Maybe it's just me being weird but it can be liberating to realize when someone enjoys flirtatious banter with you but isn't interested in something more. Then you can flirt up a storm without expectations.

Taxwonk just outed himself as my wife, which certainly is a surprise.

I was flipping through salon.com's top ten books of the year, and I decided I wanted to buy Case Histories, by Kate Atkinson. Amazon told me that if I liked this book, then I should also buy The Jane Austen Book Club and Rottweiler. Clearly, Amazon thinks I'm dtb.

First of all, "yippeekiyay motherfuck," is a better line.
Second of all, here is the cheesiest line in movie history:
Stargate SG-1: Hey, don't you die on me now.
Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King: I love you! Fool Elf don't you die on me! I love you, you hear me? Blast you, Legolas!!!
Seabiscuit: Don't you die on me, Seabiscuit!
Ghost: Don't die on me, Sam!
Hell, I can't be expected to catalogue every single use.

I actually saw this in the theater with a group of bouncers. They were impressed and inspired.
