The crass innuendo that people engage in on the internet is really quite shocking.

New poll -- have you been Googled/been a Googler?

I googled my college flame and found a listing for a club lacrosse team he played on. Included were home and work numbers.

Because I already knew he was married, and because I really only wanted to hear his voice, I called the number at work, thinking he'd be gone for the day and I'd hear his voice mail and that would be the end of it.

But, he answered. And I hung up.

20 seconds later my phone started to ring. I looked at the caller ID and sure enough, its him. I pick up the phone and immediately hang up. 20 seconds later it rings again....and I let it roll over to voice mail. Where he was greeted by the message "Hello. You've reached Bn'B. Blah blah blah." He didn't call again.

I have never been so embarrassed.
Makes you long for the days of busy signals when you could jsut make another phone call and tie up the line.

If he's on radio, he's ugly, no matter what his voice sounds like. I'm sure you know this. I am just reiterating.

I was thinking something similar. Mine was - if he was a good looking weather guy wouldn't he be on tv. But there are always exceptions that prove the rule. The djs on my morning station (clear channel dreck unfortunately) are all either admittedly fat or gay.

It'll be in Mexico, so you can have better stuff than free booze.

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

I know. What I should have said when he answered was "Hi. I was just sitting here thinking about you, wearing nothing but a smile, a tan and a long strand of pearls."

Hindsight, y'know.

Ah, but RT said he was a weatherman at an NPR station -- he might just be a laid-back brooding artistic and/or hippie dude who doesn't want to wear a suit or shave. Picture an Ethan Hawke in Reality Bites."Or Matthew McConna-what's-his-name in real life.

Concur. Vehemently.

In fact your "I think the weatherman is dreamy" is a pretty good start. (Although, you may want to get a gander at him before making your public pronouncement.)

So true. So true. This is (it hardly needs stating) especially true for LAWYERS you meet over the internet.

Sorry, but I'm picturing Mama Cass with a guy's voice, and love beads. Lots of love beads.

Golf, anyone?
