Hey. It's what you have to do to get a fucking window or aisle seat on that godforsaken airline. Doesn't matter if you book the fucking ticket a month in advance, it's a freeforall once you get there. And if you're travelling with a spouse and you actually want to sit together.

Granted, it's highly efficient and people get seated quickly, but for those of us who NEED a WINDOW, it's what you gotta do.

I always get to the airport early, because I know some fucking buffoon will forget he is wearing a metal belt buckle or that he has 67 cents in his pocket (even though he had a full fifteen minutes beforehand to inventory his stuff) and make me late.

When I fly Southwest (maybe once or twice a year, since root canal is a preferable experience), I head to the gate as soon as possible because there are always 15-20 families cutting the line and taking up all the overhead space (like you, apparently).

People always use root canal as an example of a horrible experience, but there are worse things in life, and in dentistry. And so I think I honestly would rather have root canal than fly SW on a long flight.

If you had said you'd rather have an apicoectomy, then you'd be saying something about flying SW.
