Yeah, the GOP is all about states' rights in overturning RvW.

So it's not a question of whether the fetus is a "human being", etc., after all, but a question of punishing people for having sex? Would you make up your mind? It's very hard to discuss these things with you if you're going to keep jumping around like this.

Huh?
She was making this involuntary-servitude type argument. She said:

|
She is making it out to be that the woman was just walking down the street minding her own business when along comes the government forcing her to take care of someone she doesn't want to take care of. To further prove my point, check out her analogy:

|
Yeah, an unwanted pregnancy is alot like that hypo.
So I brought sex into the discussion to point out to her how her govenrment-forcing-you-into-involunary-servitude argument and her dropped-off-at-the-door analogy were flawed.
But it isn't about punishing people for having sex. It is about a person's role in bringing about the consequences that naturally flow from their actions. When the creation of a human life is the natural result of your actions and the only way to relieve you of the consequence of you actions is to allow you to end another's life, preventing you from ending that life isn't punishing you, but it is protecting the life you created. There is a difference.
If this really was a balancing of the rights in your mind, you would get that.

Is that him? If so, my question is how did he end up with such a horse-faced wife? Or was she much better looking when she was younger, too?
Or maybe she was a one-night stand and got pregnant before RvW was the law of the land?

The Ugly Race Card Is Played Yet Again
Predictable but still notable.

Defense attorney Pamela Mackey said during a motions hearing Friday that there is a long history of white women falsely accusing black men of rape.

Power Struggle in Polygamist Town Prompts Investigation
COLORADO CITY, Ariz. - A power struggle has emerged in a small, tightlipped community known for polygamy, with a number of men getting kicked out of the church-owned town and their wives and children being "reassigned" against their will to other men.
Now authorities in Arizona and Utah are stepping up their years-long investigation into the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with the family "reassignments" sparking concerns of forced marriage of underage girls.
Women and children are considered property and have no rights under church laws.

European Anti-Semitism on the Rise
So tell me how mentioning Auschwitz is really anti-Israel and not anti-jew.*

ROME - Soccer hooligans - not exactly known for well-mannered behavior - committed a memorably despicable act at a Rome stadium a few years back, holding up a vast banner at opposing Jewish fans: "Auschwitz Is Your Country; the Ovens Are Your Homes."
In the past three years, Jews in Europe have suffered assaults, synagogues have been targeted and, on one occasion, teenagers on an amateur Jewish soccer team were attacked with sticks and metal bars.

Mid-western Carjackings of Rappers' Parents on the Rise
If this were on that other board, it is inevitable that someone would notice that the 'jacking took place on 8 Mile Road, and would post something along the lines of, 'isn't THAT ironic'.
Speaking of getting jacked, what's the conventional wisdom on how many miserable primary/caucus showings will be required for the realistic Dem candidates* to drop out?
We know that it only took one to send Gephardt to the bench (and as a resident of a state heavily targeted by his TV ads, goodbye and good riddance). Will Dean, Clark, Edwards, Kerry and Sharpton (comic relief) stay in to try to keep influence at the convention?
Late night TV hosts must be wetting themselves over that possibility.
* I could give a rip if Kucinich swears he's in till the bitter end. He's probably still trailing Carol Moseley Braun in Cleveland.

Once you're charged as an adult, it's open season, especially if you're unlucky enough to victimize someone within seven degrees of separation of any celebrity.

Not me is a white guy pretending to be a black woman. I'm a black woman pretending to be a white guy. You're a junior high school student in Manitoba pretending to be an important Texas lawyer.
And What bothers you in all this is when someone takes a slightly inconsistant position than they had taken previously?
