As for just taking up space in the cd rack, I don't know when I last listened to this:

or this:

24-7 Spyz were actually pretty good, but I don't think I've played them in 10 years.
I saw 24-7 Spyz live....great show.

Throwing Muses "the real ramona"--i love that CD but ahven't touched it in years.

Shudder to Think "Funeral at the Movies/Tenspot"--I love this too much to part with it, but i just can't bring myself to listen to it.

Getaway Cruiser--this album just sucks, but I had a friend in the band and can't bring myself to throw out a friend's art.

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

You deserve it for playing the granny machines. Be a man and sit at a table.

Spontaneous combustions

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/4669114/

Freaky.

Entire town in Sicily experiencing multiple incidents of spontaneous combustion of electronic devices, prompting some to ask the Catholic Church to think about exorcism. Scientists are baffled.

I've seen a cell phone spontaneously combust once, but apparently it was just a short circuit. BTW, don't use your cell phone while gassing up your car.

I'm also keeping the following advice handy just in case I need it later on down the line: “Someone wrote to us saying the solution was to sacrifice a black goat and collect its blood. At some point, that’s going to start looking like a good idea.”

Spent most of my time playing blackjack. Ended up even. But when the $7.6 million slots are right next to the elevator, you tend to drop a few dollars in it here and there.

well, that's what you get for playing the sucker-play slots. What's next, getting pissed off that the slots at the airports and gas stations don't pay out much either?

Hank, speaking of sacrificial goats, which Dark Lord did you guys in Detroit give offerings to? The Tigers won their opener. That must have cost a lot in goats or virgins or whatever.

You are William Safire! You're ruthless and cunning, and a conservative demigod. You used to write speeches for Nixon. Now you write another column on the English language which has made you the world's most popular etymologist. You hate media deregulation, but love the Bush administration. If only you weren't such a brilliant writer. You bastard.
Wow! I'm my favorite columnist.

edited to add: and it appears I'm an even bigger luddite. Not only don't I know how to fix this, I don't care.

I care. RP

You are Bob Herbert! You're not the most sparkling writer, but one of the most solid and selfless<br>on the Op-Ed staff. You focus on New York politics, the poor, race issues, and civil liberties. You like to quote others, and rarely place yourself in your columns. You keep it real. Seriously.

Yep, that's me. Keeping it real.
Bob Herbert sucks. His prose is dull, his choice of topic (minorities and workers are always getting fucked, no matter which party is power; the GOP is the American nazi party; W is a war criminal; free markets hurt everybody; blah blah blah) redundant and his tone whiny. The man has a chip on his shoulder bigger than China. But his greatest sin is boring readers by flailing the same dead horses week in week out.

Atleast when I attack fatties and tools, I liven it up by coming from new angles and experimenting with new levels of vitriol and hyperbole.

Congrats. You're senile and every half assed piece of shit you chuck into the Times these days lamentably further degardes your otherwise phenomenal career. You still think there's a link between Iraq and 9/11.

You're the Rod Stewart of editorialists.

Why is it that some women become men in their 50s? Is this a hormonal thing? This chick looks like she's sporting a very healthy package in her drawers. I wouldn't want to arm wrestle her.

Any? Of course. Lots of games to bet on. But the picks I submitted to the FB Book were one of seven tickets I submitted to various pools. Each one different. I had GTech losing in the finals in one (to Texas, but who's counting?).

Overall, not a good NCAA effort on my part this year. I can't figure out if parity is a good thing because it makes the games more exciting or if it's a bad thing because there are no informed picks anymore.

Last year the games were much more exciting.
