The Arkin piece is ridiculous.
As for the rest of it, do you have Cliff Notes for those of us who don't closely follow the latest cause for outrage? I have no idea what most of those are referring to.
|
As Riehl was kind enough to link to all stories in his piece, the least you could do was click the link to his site that I provided.

Yes, a douchebag.
And funny that the ACLU is nowhere to be seen in condemning requests like this.

You really fixate on the strangest (and smallest) things.
And yes, I know, if we let he pray in an empty closet, it is only a matter of time before they ask for all of our closets, and we will have nowhere to hang our fuzzy sweaters.

Hey.. look at that. Apparently it did not sink in when I first went to his site (probably because I was too busy trying to figure out whether this person is a right-wing nutjob or not).

I saw the link and it seemed to me that the objection wasn't footage showing our military taking losses, but rather, that (1) footage was aired showing a soldier being killed before the family was contacted about his death; and (2) Logan showing a video which turned out to be the same as shown by Al Quaeda and adding the veiled anon. person blaming Americans, whereas Al Quaeda took responsibility for that fighting.

OK. I must have missed the explanation (still not quite sure I understand it) and apology. I had noticeed that the complaints had stopped.

It seems Hank thinks we're already there.
In any event, this place has had a good long run for a chatboard among an essentially closed community of lawyers.
New voices are nice to hear, but we don't get many.

And, while you may not quite realize this from your perch on Penske's side of the ideological divide, that is a horrible insult to someone who is trying to be serious.
FTR (and take notes everyone) there are very few things anyone could say to me on this Board that would be more offensive if I thought it was meant seriously. [No offense, P.]
Anyhow, we're spending way too much talking about this, but you know there are other ways to say it.

No, but he committed several federal crimes and lied about it under oath.
When Sen. John Warner campaigns against the GOP nominee for the other Va Senate seat, you know there's something wrong with him.

Front page story of the NYT last week detailed the efforts of brave Americans in Iraq to save a little girl in the midst of a firefight with insurgents. Did you miss that one? Or were they just making it up?

Warner is a RiNO, and imo, its time for him to go. teh GOP needs to cull this dead wood.
And, btw, there's something wrong with someone who would marry a freak like Liz Taylor, just another reason to question Warner's judgment.

It is less than pleasant if you are a Danziger looking to visit the ancestral home.
I also understand being a Pole looking for work in Germany is not a favored crossing status.

Name my three worst socks, that you know beyond a reasonable doubt were mine, so I can have some perspective on this highly defamatory statement!
