I don't disagree [is that counterintuitive?] to split hairs, short strokes all that dtb told me count carbs calories AND sugars

The low carb worked for me cuz I am a carb addict. kinda

I knew what you were talking about, fringey. I do not like soda, diet or otherwise. So that is why I left the DDP out of the post where I quoted you and said that the mac and cheese sounded phenomenal.

I'll defer to your better knowledge of the area, but I was told that a number of local companies considered Livonia an acceptable edge of the blast zone.

No. How far east. It seems like it extends at a minimum to UCLA, but does it go farther than that? Do I work on the westside? Do I live on the west side? They were talking about highrise condos in BH and CC messing things up more; can't tell if that implies BH and CC are on the west side.

But okay, here's something. one of my neighbors is a mid-30s woman who is now really buff- she teaches spin classes even!

So anyways, last week I saw a draft of a book she wrote on staying fit. the first chapter talks about how her Sicilian mom always fed her fatty foods and she never was encouraged to exercise and she was chubby in her early 20s. Remember- mom at fault.

She then discovered exercising, and eating right and now she is the boss of a roomful of people in funny shoes and Spandex "climbing hills."

in one of the later chapters, on making time to exercise, she has the statement, "And don't feel guilty if you have to feed your kids fast food so you have time for your workout. You have to make the time somehow." something like that.

Is that ironic, or sad or just dumb?
Is "all of the above" an option?

I would have thought you knew. I think the mac and cheese involved probably involved processed cheese. There was some real cheese on top.

Ah, ok. Yes, I've always assumed that BH and CC qualify, though I'm willing to be corrected.

I saw a place last week that had fried candy bars. What is up with that?

A long-time fave in the heartland. It helps even out the density of the fat wrapping around the heart, I hear.

I assume they're talking deep-frying, and that they bread it somehow, right?

Yes, and I think it's dipped in flour batter before submerging in the oil.

Here - you can do it at home!

Ron Popeil says that the next hot trend is deep fried pickles.

Now I really really like pickles and all, and I hate the fact that you can't really get good pickles here, but that sounds disgusting.
