Disturbing trend, or practical solution?

Caskets as useful furniture.

Sure, that makes sense. What with the return of punk fashion and all. I mean, the whole casket thing is a little more goth than punk, but whatev! Anyhoo, here if the confirmation that Hot Topic is not dead yet:

Sweeeeeet! I am enjoying the trendy preppy look this Fall, but by next Spring it will be time to break out the punk look again. Possibly buy some new plaid paints! Thank you NYT for keeping me on the cutting edge!

I'm hoping you meant pants, not paints. Speaking of which, I was in Yellow Rat Bastard on Saturday and I saw some plaid pants that I think you might like. Also some plaid miniskirts, if that tickles your fancy.

Dreams Can Come True!!!

Everyone -- I have the most exciting news -- I have won 750,000 Euros in a lottery in Spain -- the amazing thing is, I don't even remember entering this lottery, but I am quite sure that one of my European relatives must have entered my name, even though they don't live in Spain, but it would be like my going to New Jersey or some place like that to buy powerball tickets!

Now, due to a mixup with names and addresses I am not supposed to tell anyone about my win until after I send them the form with my bank account information so that they can deposit my Euros as expeditiously as possible ... but since this is an anonymous board and I am bursting with excitement, I just had to share it with all of you!!!

I use both. Nothing like cuddling up and making love under the stars out on the beach.
Do you also like pina coladas? Getting caught in the rain?

Not that I care, but I can't leave Wonk's post hanging there ... isn't Ashlee a little young for acid reflux? Is that code for bulimia?

I'm just shocked that a pop star lied about something that happened.

I watched my tape last night, and I was glad that you all talked about it here, because otherwise I would just have fast-forwarded through the musical numbers, as I often do. That was fun-nee.

Is she just popular because she's Jessica's sister? Because overall she struck me as Not Cute, and Not Special, and Not Particularly Talented.

So long as you remove the bag while loudly using the words "unattended bag" and "security risk," I'm sure several other passengers will get with your program and also insist that the attendant remove it and have the Feds blow it up on the tarmac. At the very least they will get on the PA to make the owner come claim it.

BR(I once had an unattended bag that was "saving" a seat at a crowded airport bar removed by security so I could sit down - you do not want to fuck with some people when they are tired and cranky and don't want to be stuck in an airport bar in Fuckoff ND - but I learned that, in this day and age, if you use the term "security risk" in a loud voice you can actually make airport and airline employees do their jobs)C

Were you on a flight with me last week?

Someone tried a variation of this on the plane. We left three hours late. I would not recommend it.

Hmm, good point. Back to the drawing board. Maybe I'll have to encourage more good samaritans to try the variation I saw once: someone boarding about 10 feet behind the malfeasor pulled the guy's bag out of the front overhead and following him down the aisle with it saying "sir? sir? you forgot your bag."

I'll bet, however, that the attendants on that plane of yours will now actively cause passengers to stow their bags over their own seats. So it probably wasn't a total waste of effort.
