Everybody's giving away crazy contracts this year. Alfonso Soriano for $136m?
But in the end, isn't the Yankees' payroll going to still be 30% or more above the Red Sox'? You should be thanking the Red Sox for taking at least some of the criticism that used to be directly solely towards the Yankees.

He's worse. He doesn't have the potential upside that ARod once had (still has?).

My personal favorite was Kevin Mitchell injuring himself while eating a cupcake.

I think my head would blow up if she was talking about NotBob. Wouldn't that be awesome? I wonder how much we'd have to pay him to write an honest assessment about her looks, intelligence or personality on this board.

Please. At least ARod was good with his previous team.

Yeah, but at least he is a legit power hitter, who can run a little bit too. And he actually has a good arm in left, if he can just manage to get to the ball.

Except the Cubs are probably going to have Soriano playing in center or right. Soriano is a fantastic hitter for a 2d baseman, but is merely pretty good for corner outfield. And if he winds up playing center, the Cubs might have the worst defensive outfield in memory.

We'll see where it ends up in the end. And I don't care about other teams and their complaints. If they had the money they would or should spend it too. All I care about is Boston fans and their incessant whining about the Evil Empire and what an unfair shake they always get because their owner doesn't spend his money. Now he is, so hopefully they'll shut the hell up about it.

To me, judging solely from on-board discussions, this implies Shape Shifter more than NotBob. But what do I know?

It isn't NBob.
Anyway I'm outta here. Continue amongst yourselves talking about how annoying and horrible and ugly I am.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Fugee!
Always an excellent excuse for bad behavior.
At least my "public" low blood sugar moment came as a result of a skipped lunch and a conference call that went on and on and on. He could have had a glass of juice or something.
