They don't need to intimidate, they need to put the puck in the net.

Speaking of hockey, when did the NHL institute time outs*?
Time outs in hockey are just wrong. Wrong. And the Haka on ice is just silly. Some day, some Kiwi kid is going to fall on his ass while doing it.
(*The last time I paid attention to hockey was over 5 years ago, when my brother still worked for the Devils.)

Mad Men (no spoilers)
I finally got to the Mad Men finale, and I loved every minute, except the Peggy plotline, which was:
- implausible
- cheap
- impractical
- dissonant and
- inflammatory
It's as if a studio clerk accidentally inserted two pages of a daytime soap plot into the middle of a masterpiece. Oh the humanity!

it's foreshadowing.
a guy like you, beaten down by modern times, you watch Mad Men and you long for the days when you could sip bourbon at your desk, tell the Missus a client is keeping you in the city, have a revolving affair or two going on, walk down to casting from time to time to pick some new fruit, and all you really need to worry about is when the heart attack will come. We get that.
The Peggy story is saying, "savor these times because already one has an office, and she ain't playing by your rules."
A self-actualized man of today? Peggy's arc is his favorite part of the show. It says "Neanderthal, you're being evicted from your cave."

1.) Coltrane always posts links about tubgirl, as well as lemonparty re: the "shock sites".
2.) Update: I found my Burberry scarf it was folded and zipped into my Patagonia jacket, must have been during a storm last year. Therefore, I do not need to replace it, I am somewhat elated yet strangely discontented that I am not going to shop for a new color. darn it.
3.) Question: For those of you that use Kiehl's [hi Fugee!] what products moisturizers specifically do you prefer? I need to replace my moisturizer and was using Kiehl's Ultra Facial moisturizer w/o sunscreen; and was wondering if anyone has tried with suncreen, tinted. Thank you.
3a.) If anyone has tried N.V. Perricone Skinceuticals, I would be interested to see if it is indeed worth the 30 bucks. Thanks squared.

Skinceuticals gets good reviews on makeupalley.com. I think it is a different brand? Or seems to be on there . . .

I used the Cosmecueticals. Specifically the Vitamin C Ester Concentrated Restorative Cream and the Alpha Lipoic Acid Evening Facial Emollient. (I had to go into my bathroom to get the names of this stuff right.)
I think it's worth it. But I freely admit it's a ridiculous price to pay for skin care.

I realize you're trying to be cute here, but your post indicates you haven't gotten to the last 10 mins of the finale yet. I will therefore chalk this up on my list of allusions you've missed yet have responded to anyway.
The thing is, I realize that the Laws of Television Drama demanded that Peggy have the particular Problem that she does. However, it's not about the what, it's about the how. If this is supposed to be a slice-of-life from 1960, why not let her have this particular Problem in the way nearly 100% of people had it in 1960? Why resort to recockulous levels of suspension of disbelief? After 11 episodes of smooth sailing, the show had just started showing some disturbing plot holes, but we could be hopeful they would be resolved somehow, and then they spring this bullshit? I'm seriously pissed. This is like "The Last Supper" except at the last minute Leonardo added a dog playing solitaire at the end of the table.

You probably should wait for Icky, but pretty sure they've had these for years. 1 per team per game, which they typically would take late in a close game. They've certainly been in the college game for years.
