Of course. Happens every few months. Everyone has that one friend.

"Motherfucker, please. You think she was after your busted self? Everybody saw her sweatin' ______. Why you always throwin' monkey wrenches in other people's game -- actin' like it's their fault you can't close?"

They know what's up, because they are the only ones who attach themselves to girls like that. They have to. They need someone to blame when they get deaded.

They are the male equivalent of the aesthetically broke girlfriend of the girl you're talking to, who wants to go home at 9:30 and just has to share a cab with her friend.

No, but a good friend once told me many years ago, in a very nice manner, "[gwnc], you may find this hard to believe, but there are some people out there who deep down don't want to sleep with you."

It still hasn't sunk in, but it was nice of her to try to look out for me like that.

I've used the software and the online version (last 3 years) and have never had a problem. I'd just give it a few more days. If you do it online you can login for status updates.

I've used it for the last three years, and I've never had any problems getting back the return within two weeks or so of filing. I always file near the deadline because one of my documents doesn't get to me until mid-March.

As for e/o's question, I'd probably take the middle ground and just point out that the lady in question was hot for the other guy way before Delusional came into the picture. I probably wouldn't go into the other thrity examples of the delusion, except when presenting the case study at an academic conference. Or at the FB.

Reminds me of the fake news on SNL -- that guy Colin something was the anchor then, and was reporting a story about how the Scientologists in Germany were complaining that they were being discriminated against on the basis of their religion.

Colin's report of Germany's official response was , "Hey -- We're Germans -- when we discriminate against you on the basis of your religion, you'll know."

My "friend" Delusional develops unrequited crushes and then accuses everyone else of interfering in his ability to close the deal.

Recently, we met a woman who told me and the other women that she liked a specific guy in the group. Delusional attached himself to her hip for the entire evening and growled like a dog protecting his bone when anyone else came near her. Still, she was able to break away and hit on the guy she liked and asked him out.

Delusional believes that this particular guy, who happens to be his good friend, is always trying to snake women from him. He is mostly wrong -- the women are usually chasing the friend and get trapped in Delusional's vortex.

I am supposed to have lunch with Delusional today, and I want to tell him that the chick he spent hours working was working his friend. My guy friends think his ego cannot handle it. I am sick of him whining about his friend always moving in on his girls.

Would you/have you told your clueless friend the truth?
Tell him. You'll be doing him a favor. And you'll be doing greater womankind a favor. Some guys just don't understand signals.

As to the male ego thing, that's no excuse for not giving him full candor. He's a big kid. I view the "fragile male ego" defense with the same skeptical eye I view the "I'm premenstrual" defense. Neither is a valid basis for others not to tell you when you're being an asshole or making a fool of yourself.

I know a few women like that. They are about 5's on the 1 - 10 scale and insist on trying to date 6'2" guys in great shape who are well-to-do professionals. Needless to say, they aren't successful in their pursuit of these guys.

Depends on what is in it for you. If it bothers his friend, then let his friend say something. If it bothers your friend, let her say something.

Why get involved.

...sounded like a good idea last night...then again, so did the beer and red wine...and the all-you-can-eat-meat dinner at Fogo de Chão (http://www.fogodechao.com/flash_index.php). Ugh.

Anyone else been? So much meat.

We've used it since 2001 -- it ROCKS! Instead of taking 12 hours to do our taxes, it takes one. Totally awesome. I never had any problem with the filing or getting a return. (We never seem to get a federal return -- quite the opposite -- but always a state return -- and unhappily, it's never enough to offset what Uncle George takes.)

I have been to a similar South American meat restaurant and didn't like it. I don't like the spices that they use and the places always smell like garlic to me. And not in a good way.

I have not been there. But (clearly, before I became a vegetarian, and no, this experience had nothing to do with it) went to an all-you-can-eat-meat dinner at a place called Carnivore in Nairobi. It's fantastic - the variety of meat is amazing. They keep bringing you meat until you literally raise a little white flag. It was delicious, but almost the type of eating that you have to practice* beforehand to get a bigger stomach or something. One of the best dinners I remember having from my meat-eating days.

*PRACTICE
