Don't selectively quote. You also said, as if it was a direct contrast, "You don't see big publicity when black women get killed." (or something to that effect)

Let's just chalk it up to something like lighting a smoke and then realizing you already had one blazing in the ashtray -- it was a slip that I really didn't even notice until you pointed it out. Thanks a fucking lot. I didn't mean to and now I have become your personal kicking dog and everyone knows it. I bet you laugh at people who accidentally light the filter end so that they suffer publicly rather than in their own private pit of stupid shame.

You obviously don't know me at all. I AM the person who (proverbially) lights the filter end. See, e.g., my tennis discussion with soupsandwich.

Actually, there was a pile-on and "shock and awe" for someone daring to suggest that having a drink was ok.
Isn't it apparent? But let me add the "daddy brigade" to this lest I be accused of being sexist.
I actually recall Multo and perhaps GWINK being the only people to do so.
Oh, right, actors and actresses shoved in our faces and who use their bully pulpit to express their views are NOT role models. OK, Charles Barkley.
But you WOULD purport to tell establishment owners and paying customers what they can and cannot do? I see.

Being pissed off is understandable. Hell, I live most of my work life that way. But you sound like you're in a bad way, man.
You post something over here about something no one is talking about. You're mad that no one is talking about it. And you would be mad if people were, because people talked about it in the past and it mad you mad then. When someone responds to you, you're pissed off. I'm guessing if no one responded you would be pissed off too?
Are you ok, homie?

It is a proven fact (somewhere, in one of those stupid fucking parenting books) that young children are narcissistic. Most outgrow it but some grow up to be partners or people who buy lots of shoes. I don't care much if the Little Fan right now doesn't give much of a fuck about other people (so long as the little shit doesn't get me sued or something) because, well, he is supposed to be sorta self-centered at his age, but I started early on making sure that he is nice to animals (I have lots of cats) and understood that he was to love and not to hurt them. This is in part because I love my cats and in part because I didn't want him to grow up to be a fucking Dahmer. I figured I could short-circuit any Dahmer-tendencies by getting him to respect animals (and bugs and shit like that -- fuck people).

I only remember Multo and Brit voicing the "alcohol-based mouthwash isn't child abuse and mind your own business anyway" position offhand, but .

This is weird. I am not opposed to the occasional glass of wine while pregnant, though I suppose standing in heavy smoke at a bar is probably a bad idea. I was criticizing those who had a glass while pregnant? That is so not like me (the drinking, not the criticizing).

Just fyi, the ban is back on in Toronto (since 2001). You can (last I checked) however smoke at my ex-boyfriend's bar, since bless his stinky little heart, he has proudly defied the ban from the get-go.
I don't "smoke" anymore, so the ban here doesn't really bug me. However (as the sweet RT knows) when I get the urge to smoke it is in a bar, and I get cranky if I can't have one. But I suppose the ban will stop me from demonstrating how I can smoke backwards, so I won't look like a fool.

P.S. Hello to my co-worker who is also on here. Yes, I know who you are because when I noticed that you were in the process of posting - I ran back to my office and logged on to figure out who you were - you would have done the same thing. You might want to rearrange your furniture so that your computer doesn't broadcast into the hallway and/or post with your door closed.

All I have to say about Josh is, I know what an eye is. So when you sing the word "eyes" you don't have to point to your own eyes. And I know what "you" means, so when you sing the word "you" you don't have to point at me. And Ex-lax is cheap -- try the chocolate flavor, I hear it's delicious.
Clay was adorable. He was totally making fun of himself with that rendition of "Grease" and the cheesey hip swivels, and I got the joke. The outfit was part of the joke, and it worked.
K-Lo was sadly mediocre. I think everyone wanted her to blow Josh away, and while she was still much better than he, she wasn't amazing. I still voted for her a few times but I'm not optimistic she will survive tonight.
Ruben was Ruben. As he always is. He is consistently good, but boring. I think we are looking at a Clay/Ruben top two which is fine with me.

I understand that one only gets snippets from posts, and that this could simply be you having fun, but my impression so far is that you should have found some of the other genre of parenting books, too.
Although you seem to have nailed the one type you did get.

I think he's not alone. But it may just be that we were being dragged around by a bar smoker, who only took us to resistance bars.
