A good while back he did a stint as sportscaster on the SNL fake news show that wasn't bad.

That happens all the time, though. I think that part of competition is that you leave yourself open to judgment calls from third parties that may fuck up. The Americans were complaining that they lost to Lithuania in part because of bad calls and tickytack fouls. While I think they're just whining and haven't wrapped their heads around the fact that international play is different thant he NBA, I'll agree that call on the four point play towards the end of the game was questionable. We can't go back and protest it now. If it had been a three point play instead of a four point play, would we have approached the game a little differently? Maybe, but their bitching about it now just makes them look whiney. They don't need to look any more whiney than they already do.
From what I can tell, the official to athlete ratio looks to be about 2-1 in most Olympic competition. The athletes leave themselves in the hands of those officials, and they've got to understand that the officials (absent malfeasance) will do their best, but sometimes they'll screw up. The officials generally do not have the benefit of video replay, so they're making their decisions at the time. There's a process in place to address the screw ups, and I don't think it's unfair if the athlete doesn't take advantge of that process.

And Aloha, I was trying to remember any skits he EVER did that were funny. Turns out, his most famous character in SNL is a Frank Sinatra impression.

He did a terrific Sinatra and Stevie Wonder with Eddie Murphy, singing "Ebony and Ivory." Good stuff.

Maybe disqualifying the Russians is a bit harsh. But at best they should only have gotten a silver. Two golds just smacks too much of a "You're all winners!!" mentality.
If the USOC gives the South Korean a gold medal, then Hamm should trade his gold in for a silver. By giving the gold to the South Korean, the USOC would really be saying "this guy should have won".

Somehow this ended up on the politics board, but it probably belongs here also. Someone sent me the infamous voice message going around, and I put it up for your listening pleasure.

There's really one fair way to settle this....Hamm and Yang should have a walkoff, like in Zoolander.

Hmmm... Since both their names sound like slang for male genitalia, wouldn't a jerkoff be more appropriate?

Jerk-off.
This is the FB. A jerk-off is always appropriate, even without the cockie-sounding names.
