Ok, poll time. Favorite movie about or set on Long Island.
I'll go with Trees Lounge.
Anyone who suggests an Ed Burns movie will recieve scorn unlike any that has been heretofore witnessed. Scorn!
|
I'll go with "Meet the Parents" just to make Paigow happy.
I'll list "the Great Gatsby" as second.

An excellent choice.

Yeah, but in name only. Amity was really on Martha's Vineyard

How did I miss the Seinfeld and Growing Pains movies?

Once you expanded the scope to TV "movies," I further expanded it to TV shows.

The Hamptons. They never get more specific than that, I believe.

Follow-up poll: Best movie ever set in Albany NY. This is easier because in the history of filmmaking there has only been one movie ever set in Albany. Name it.
Hint: It is also the name of a FB poster...

I tihnk everyone here knows Jaws was shot on Martha's. I put this post in the category of str8's stupid poll designed to show off his appreciation of Trees Lounge. Stupid, pointless and designed to show off some useless kn owledge of something useless. Thurgreed, you came up with Whiff, which was brillieant, so can you come up with something for this type of post?

Thurgreed, I hate your polls.
Speaking of Albany, did anyone other than me and the kind FBer who recommended it ever read Roscoe?

I thought that Jaws was filmed at Universal Studios in Hollywood. I saw the shark there personally.

Ridiculous Movie Poll
I so wish that there was a picture.
3 accused of putting hairpieces on cows
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Three livestock exhibitors at last year's Ohio State Fair have been disqualified for allegedly outfitting their Holstein cows with hairpieces.
State Fair inspectors said the three glued or painted hair from another part of the animal or from another animal to create straighter backs on the cows and enhance their appearance in the show ring.

Good. Mine wasn't either (maybe some of you could tell that! LOL!*). Actually any poll that starts with "Name the best movie..." will likely be mocked and/or ignored by me.
But someone answer my poll! Really!
