Moving for another person

I think I'd be willing to move somewhere else in order to see whether or not something works even if it's just in the beginning stages. It would depend on whether or not there's even a hope of my finding a job in the other city, but assuming I could, I'm flexible enough these days to pick up and start over for someone. I'd have to think that there was a good chance of a long term relationship with the person I was moving for before I did it. I used to focus entirely on my job and career stuff instead of relationship stuff, but that focus has changed over the last few years. I wouldn't have moved for my last boyfriend, but maybe I would for the next.
Think globally, act locally.

I've often considered moving to another city for my wife.

Or, did you mean moving TO the other person?

It depends whether the new city is a step up or a step down. Having been through this sort of decision process in the not-so-distant past, I realized that there are very few places that I would be willing to live. Unless I was fairly sure I could convince Mr Wonderful to make a move to a crappy place only temporary. Why do you think that PLF and I aren't together (I mean other than the obvious reason of my love of angst-ridden, trite music)?

When medical journals go loopy

Acquired growth hormone deficiency and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism in a subject with repeated head trauma, or Tintin goes to the neurologist (spree: prestigous medical journal)

Huh -- I didn't realize it was possible to spend way too much time thinking about me. Go figure.

Anyway, if you like Eats, Shoots and Leaves, I am confident you will enjoy this (uh, this picture is sort of small, so I'll just TELL you the name -- it's "The Superior Person's Book of Words"):

(There's a box set that I've got my eye on...)

Carl Hiaasen has a new book out, called "Skinny Dip." I haven;t read it yet, but I have never been disappointed by Hiaasen.

It's probably Hiaasen's worst book. He phoned this one in.

Hiaasen is to men what US magazine is to women: easy and meaningless reading. Actually, US magazine is easy and meaningless looking at pictures and captions.
