A Prayer for Owen Meany killed off "Tabitha Wheelwright." "Simon Birch" killed off Ashley fuckin' Judd, man. You tell me which is worse.

Dissent. Blow jobs are like bacon. There's a great range from lower quality to extremely wonderful, but every single rasher is at a minimum pleasant.

I think this is your Guernica. Masterpiece. So simple, yet so true.

I wasn't as bothered as I thought I'd be by this. The boss was good- he didn't try and "be" Brent- he was just himself as asshole. They didn't make the receptionist some godess, which is a typically Hollywood thing, and what I expected. The receptionist shouldn't be too hot, you know?
The "Gareth" from 6 Feet- I'm not sure i like. A little too forced weirdness, but George Castanza was forced at first too, so maybe he'll come around.
Why do direct lines and scenes? "A fax from corporate- file that......" Please make new jokes, recycling will only reinforce that it isn't the same- maybe they assume most people haven't seen the UK version so they can just coast/copy.
B- I'll watch again.
|
You're on the same page as the reviewers I read, who said that the receptionist is the kind of girl who starts doing her hair, but gives up 1/4 way through, because really, who'll notice. Brilliant. Also, they get further and further away from direct lines and scenes as the series goes on.

When she was swallowing, she wasn't moving up and down at all. That's a fucking crime. She stops workin' it when it feels best? She should be blacklisted by the Academy.

The tiniest bit is nice. If your tongue can reach the balls while your mouth is full, that's very nice (and I want your number). Otherwise, it's far from critical.

You haven't been robbed if it wasn't yours to begin with.
Disability:
1988: Genius retard
1989: Cripple
1991: Psycho
1992: Blind
1993: AIDS
1994: Retard
1995: Blind drunk
1996: Batshit crazy
1997: Mean crazy
2004: Blind
Genocide:
1998: Nazis
2002: Nazis
You'll notice Disability was owed by 2004, unless Benigni's win for "genocide" is seen as a mixed category with "batshit crazy," where Cheadle didn't even try to cross over to double his chances. OTOH, Denzel beat a straight-up retard, a genius psycho, and a dude you knew would eventually get Parkinson's. He should get three statutettes for that A-game shit.

BSG
Spoiler stuff below:
Well, this is shaping up to be one bad ass finale. Did I miss something, or do they have no idea what Apolo's Arrow actually is? Is it like a statue or something? Just curious...
Also, I'm wondering if Tom Zarek will have a role in the mutiny/coup d'etat happenings that seem to be coming down the pike? Should make for an interesting last episode.

If "hairy back" is a disability, you need to include '55.

I'm gonna catch up tonight or tomorrow so I can talk about it. I heard some of it last night, but I'm three or four episodes behind and wanted a mini-marathon before the finale. I was definitely intrigued.

Does Sci Fi only show BSG on Friday nights at 10? No replays? Why? It seems like Stargate is on every 15 minutes with a repeat episode. I don't understand.
