Dim. Your very very important comics said he also was responsible for 9/11. We had a refurendum on that one and you guys lost. Maybe you'll be wrong on this one too?

Keep in mind that the show started, and has continually trailed, IRL events by a couple of years.
They're still in a presidential campaign. Let that get finished up, let Vinnick invade Kyrslickistan and shit, and then we'll get to the hurricane stuff.

Bill Maher did a riff on this on his HBO show:
- Now, I kid, but seriously, Mr. President, this job can't be fun for you anymore. There's no more money to spend. You used up all of that. You can't start another war because you also used up the army. And now, darn the luck, the rest of your term has become the Bush family nightmare: helping poor people.
The cupboard's bare, the credit card's maxed out, and no one is speaking to you: mission accomplished! Now it's time to do what you've always done best: lose interest and walk away. Like you did with your military service. And the oil company. And the baseball team. It's time. Time to move on and try the next fantasy job. How about cowboy . . . or spaceman?
Now, I know what you're saying. You're saying that there's so many other things that you, as president, could involve yourself in ...
Please don't.
I know, I know, there's a lot left to do. There's a war with Venezuela, and eliminating the sales tax on yachts. Turning the space program over to the church. And Social Security to Fannie Mae. Giving embryos the vote. But, sir, none of that is going to happen now. Why? Because you govern like Billy Joel drives. You've performed so poorly I'm surprised you haven't given yourself a medal. You're a catastrophe that walks like a man.
Herbert Hoover was a shitty president, but even he never conceded an entire metropolis to rising water and snakes.
On your watch, we've lost almost all of our allies, the surplus, four airliners, two Trade Centers, a piece of the Pentagon and the City of New Orleans ...
Maybe you're just not lucky.
I'm not saying you don't love this country. I'm just wondering how much worse it could be if you were on the other side. So, yes, God does speak to you, and what he's saying is, "Take a hint."

Do you not remember our own governement's response to the earthquake in Iran? Are you not sickened by this story?

How could there be a referendum on it when the administration hasn't told the people the truth?

Wait - don't tell me - we gave them Iraq, right? Now that you mention it they do seem a little ungrateful.

That's a bonus. I much prefer the blue version. See how I can give credit where it's due?

I would have to reread basic legal research to even understand what the fuck happened in that case. I forget why a "majority" can have fewer apparent votes than a concurence.
But here's the point, and I think Seb said it better yesterday, if you knew the Griswold breakdown without going back- or even if you have gone back- then you are one pathetic mug. Unless you work in Privacy rights appeals to the courts.
Let's see, in your free time you drink lots and read dense old opinions. I want to party with you cowboy!

Bush is like your budddy who always knew he was going into the family business. You know... the one who manages to take a great business and totally fuck it up in three years, then be forced to sell it and live off the proceeds and show up at dinners pathetically talking about how he's now a venture capitalist.
Only problem is, we can't sell off the asssets here.
Maher's right. Bush's ludicrous spending programs (which put classic Democratic spenders to shame) are the equivalent of that jackass friend leasing himself a few Porsches and buying some shore property with money which should have gone to retooling the plant.
Biggest problem down the road is, people like you and I will pay for the bailout when the Left comes back into office and starts taxing the piss out of everything.
Make no mistake - those who are currently getting rich have adopted a "grab all you can cuz this bonanza is going to end real soon" attitude. They're stockpiling, and sheltering. When the shit hits the fan, class warfare will murder you and I - not the hyperrich. I predict the mid to upper middle class is going to get wwhalloped by a Dem who can sell class warfare to the Entitlement Class.
Thats why I'm spending like a terminal plague is about to hit. I'd rather burn the money than see it redistributed later because of this fucking rube's idiot policies.
Hopefully, by then I'll be in a foreign land.

Sure, it makes me want to punch that grandstanding asshole in the face. But I don't view it as a threat to be taken seriously. He's just pandering to the rubes.
Can you think of anything the administration has said or done that would give them cause to feel threatened by us?
