A constitutional amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman is a priority of social conservatives, and Bush's support for the issue last year was among the factors that energized them to vote in record numbers in November. HA!

LITTLETON, Colo. — A dentist found the source of the toothache Patrick Lawler was complaining about on the roof of his mouth: a 4-inch nail the construction worker had unknowingly embedded in his skull six days earlier.

He was taken to a suburban Denver hospital, where he underwent a four-hour surgery. The nail had plunged 1-1/2 inches into his brain, barely missing his right eye, Metcalse said.

Lawler told KUSA-TV in Denver that the nail gun had recoiled and hit him in the mouth. "For six days we were icing it and taking Advil, thinking I got hit real hard, like a punch. Way off!"

Lawler was recovering yesterday in the hospital, where he was expected to spend several more days. Despite his lack of medical insurance and hospital bills of between $80,000 and $100,000, Katerina Lawler said her husband is in good spirits.

"The doctors said, 'If you're going to have a nail in the brain, that's the way you want it to be,' " she said. "He's the luckiest guy, ever."

Um, no. Please check the PB. Everyone voted for him because they support his actions/positions in/on Iraq. That is why no one in the administration or whatever will be criticized or reprimanded or whatever for any actions that some might deem "mistakes." Because, by winning the election, Bush demonstrated that his policies on Iraq had the overwhelming approval and support of The American People.

Yes, I am still young and vital. I have actually enjoyed the latest cold snap, although it did not get much below negative 15-20 in the big city. No, that was the mandate of the American people. Apparently we all thought about the war in Iraq and chose Bush because he's doing such a bang-up job.

This was the conservatives who got sucked into thinking that if they didn't vote for Bush, then the gays would take over. So they all rallied for the cause.
