Maybe it was because of a bad Jack Nicholson impersonation

How about Matrix?

She looks pissed in her mugshot.

I wonder what he did?

Edited to say I wish I'd thought "Clit Lit Inference" earlier.

I don't think I made this up, but since I don't remember where I got it from (I want to say Sportscenter's Dan Patrick), I clearly invented it.

curses to be foiled again

I would like to make clear that Atticus -- whom I love like a brother (in the fraternal sense, not in the TM sense, although I love him like a brother too) -- invented this story and that I am merely a scavenging remora sucking up to the Carcharodon carcharias that he (Atticus, not TM) is.

That is all.

Good point, but it's not a book. Books are those funny rectangular things with the paper inside that we litigators insist on looking at.

It's not even a good point, Ty. I fail to see how crappy little cars have anything to do with Jesus symbolism. Unless you think the Matrix is a groundbreaking car and its innovative design will eventually play a significant role in the societies of many countries. .

You mean books like in "books and records" to which auditors are supposed to have access?

(Didn't really read the beginning of the string.)

136 years is a long curse. Must have taken them that long to find a descendant of the guy stupid enough to take them up on the offer....

As for the term "Golf Clap", the first instance of it I recall is from the Charlie Sheen, Emelio Estevez film "Men at Work", truly the "Citizen Kane" of garbage collector movies.

Any other real words that you find displeasing and would like abitrarily banished?

Main Entry: al·right
Pronunciation: (")ol-'rIt, 'ol-"
Function: adverb or adjective
Date: 1887
: ALL RIGHT
usage The one-word spelling alright appeared some 75 years after all right itself had reappeared from a 400-year-long absence. Since the early 20th century some critics have insisted alright is wrong, but it has its defenders and its users. It is less frequent than all right but remains in common use especially in journalistic and business publications. It is quite common in fictional dialogue, and is used occasionally in other writing <the first two years of medical school were alright -- Gertrude Stein>.

I thought this was something you got at a drunken party at the club, even way back in the 50s.

I am of the group who believe it is wrong. just like till. I'll be out of the office till Monday. Just because a lot of people use it, don't make it right.
