Okay. I have an actual fashion question, and it has nothing to do with socks.

Don't rush to judgment on that. I may be lecherous and pervy*, but I still have standards.
*credit to some cretinous sock whose identity I don't recall.

I thought Nicole Kidman was already "on board" (or whatever all those hifalutin' Hollywood execs say) to play Samantha. Then again, I thought Jim Carey was a lock too, so this information is worth what you paid for it.

Have you seen her recently? She's a better bet for Endora herself. Bad, bad surgery.
Joan Collins is a fun idea for endora, but only for about 2 minutes. She's way too over-the-top camp to work, really. She doesn't really have the finesse to pull off the Auntie Mame elements of the character. Bacall's a good call. What is Diana Rigg up to these days?

Thank you.
As far as her shoes, I can't remember the particulars, I just remember thinking they were fabulous.
Edited to say yes, they were probably fuck me shoes.

About shoes?
Surely (punnie!) you are not suggesting that I'm not bangable.

Well, to be honest, I'm less concerned about shoes than socks.

"can't remember the particulars" = too busy staring at her TITS
but good attempt to cover with the shoe discussion here...

Sounds to me like she could have been wearing Tevas and big wool hiking socks, and you would have thought them fabulous.

I'm not sure what to do in this case. Have I won? Do you scurry away in Dishonor? I'm a little rusty on duelling etiquette and procedure. Atticus?

Please. Of course I would never be so crass to stare at a woman's tits.* They were there, that's about all I could tell you.
However, I will try to be more observant and report back after lunch.
Unfortunately I am sure I will find out she is not a lesbian, or maybe one of those bi-curious chicks who has a boyfriend, and be utterly devastated.
*Unless she is one of those women who have big breasts and walk around wearing really tight or low cut shirts so that you simply cannot help but look. And even then I wouldn't stare.

It was Emerson. And the quote is actually "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds." Everyone always leaves out the "foolish" part, in an apparent attempt to make out Emerson as someone who inexplicably is against all forms of consistency. hahahaha!!!!!
Anyhoo, just wanted to say sorry about the whole Petunia thing. In a small effort to make it up to you all, I offer you some nice music I found on the internet. If you go to www.milkaudio.com and enter the site, you will see a pull down menu for "live.mix." - and in that menu you will see various live DJ mix excerpts. I highly recommend the first Mr. Scruff mix (live at Milk on 7/3). Although Mr. Scruff is behind that annoying Lincoln Navigator commercial, his mix is eclectic and pretty cool. For those with short attention spans, I very highly recommend the mix from about minute ten to minute twenty five or so, when he does a funk set. I know, it is not much to offer for egregious sock crimes, but candidly, I am not really sorry about Petunia, and instead offer this bit of obscure music to you in an attempt to make myself seem hip and edgy to Walter Disco Mitty.

I saw in the news she just won a Brit-libel suit* against a newspaper that claimed she "held British men in low regard." For my part, I have a hard time understanding how this has defamatory meaning. I would thought better of her if she actually held British men in low regard.
*British libel suits are the short tees of the libel world.
