I don't remember any women in wet shirts on Sports Night or on Cheers. There was that scene in As Good As It Gets, but that movie sucked and I am NOT looking for a Helen Hunt/Jack Nicholson vibe with you, Gatti.

If I eat more than a tiny serving of vegetables, I get incredibly sick to my stomach. So I often get accused of eating like a guy--lots of barbecue.
I second the vote for bacon. I feel a little bad because pigs're pretty smart, but then, if they were that smart they wouldn't've let us domesticate them so we could eat them so easily.

You did not exhibit the time-honed (and time-honored) spittle-wielding trait that Paigow continually describes.
Of course, you did not offer to buy me a Tang, I am a male, and I am not a mongoloid, so perhaps I did not trigger this Skinnerian or Pavlovian trait.
That being said, Less, whenever I see your moniker, I visualize this wild-eyed, crazed, spittle-frothing person that, in turn, leads me to think you should consider finding an avatar from SNL's Queen Mary, replete with a drool bucket and a cabin boy. Paigow -- while wrong -- certainly has painted (smeared?) a great caricature.
Happy Friday.

Suckerin Suckatash. Has it occurred to you that Less corrected the problem once it was finally pointed out to him? I havent seen the assclown in three years, but its good he learns from his constructive criticism. I am a Simon to his Clay and the freaky facial tics.

And yes, they have a problem with remote linking, but they don't seem to mind if you do it for short periods of time.

That's what I thought, until that one day I got the e-mail they send out after one of their mass-pruning of TOS violators. And I was only using the account to upload photos to other servers that actually stored the photos, so I really wasn't remote linking at all.

Hehe. I had a couple of econ profs. who hypothesized about tipping. their query was why anyone ever tips in out-of-town restaurants. The service has already been given, so it's a sunk cost of the server. And there's no repeat play, since you'll never go back (or they won't remember you if you do).
I didn't go out to dinner with them after that.
|
I had an econ prof who wrote an article about the deadweight loss associated with gift giving. I think he called it "the deadweight loss of Christmas" or some such imaginative title. He compared how recipients valued gifts to what the givers paid for them, and found something like a 10%-25% difference. My sister-in-law's family (who did not read this article, as far as I know) give each other $100 bills for Christmas, so my brother says. Presumably this eliminates the DWL.
That said, I think your econ prof fully believes that he's right. To anyone who feels sorry for the waitresses, I've got three words for them, "learn to fuckin' type."

People who choose not to have kids are exactly the right people who should not have kids.
People who have sex on a regular basis talk about it far less than people who don’t.

Once again, I believe I have been insluted by the other princess who I have never met. go figure.

Yeah, that's a great idea. I'll just upload my pic to your server via FTP. I don't know why I didn't think of that earlier.
Um is there, like, an FTP button I can click on or something? I see that there is some sort of PHP button up there. Is that the same thing, or is that the stuff that makes you crazy when someone puts it in your dope?

Holy Crap Headline of the Week
I actually have nightmares about this type of thing:
Passengers sucked out of plane
KINSHASA, Congo, May 9 — Scores of passengers aboard a Russian-built cargo plane flying across Congo were feared dead after they were sucked out of the aircraft when the rear door burst open in mid-flight, officials said Friday.

It still incurs transaction costs. Tell them to call off christmas, or just eat a big meal.
