If you turn on the light you are more likely to wake up completely and thus have trouble falling back to sleep.
But I don't have either of the "missing" issues that you or your Mrs. might have.

People, we need a new subject. You're throwing off my internal clock over here.
Is it time for "Atkins=Death" yet? Mebbe a mentor joke? Hmmm?

One of my wife's male friends from college kisses all of his female friends on the lips as a greeting. Bastard. First time I saw that, I was shocked. Then I was pissed and full of admiration. Pissed that I didn't come up with, and full of admiration that he had the balls to come up with the idea. Then I wondered when he came up with the idea. Did he start doing it one day, out of the blue? Or was it when he went off to college, he started doing it when he arrived? Because I'm thinking to myself, how the fuck do you just become the kissing guy among a group of current friends? Aren't the friends like, Hey, what the fuck?
Although, I did have a female friend kiss me on the lips one time, and I thought, this night is going to get far more interesting. Because it was my life, however, it did not.

I've never had problems with waking up. Hell, if I have to piss in the middle of the night, I've been awoken by the pressure in my bladder anyway. Taking a piss is a relief.

Sebby, is that you? Reading comp. It's not about the waking up but the falling back to sleep. But thanks, now I gotta go. Gotta go. Right now.

If child-raising are a hobby he wishes to indulge, and you do not, you should receive some kind of quid pro quo: money, blowjobs, what have you. Though generally, if anyone should demand compensation, it should be the man. Men often enough would prefer not to have kids; women like that are few and far between.

Yeah, with a pecker as long as yours, you don't need a light. If the tip's not wet, you're missing.

Where's ltl/fb with her efficiency arguments on this one?

Separate bathrooms. Actually, I thing the "put everything including the lid down" system works best, but I have to admit I don't adhere to that system when living alone.
It's all about predictability, folks.
Sorry about the absence.

I presume you're talking to Mr. deLarge. Despite rumors to the contrary, I am not ambiguously gendered.

BEST PICKUP STRATEGIES EVER
* * *
Find Women with Jobs
To locate a high proportion of good-looking (if somewhat bitter and humorless) women, eat and drink in the area surrounding the courthouse. Law offices harbor an astonishing number of female lawyers, paralegals, and legal secretaries. All of 'em eat. Runner-up: hospital cafeterias. (Nurses. Lots of nurses.)

That's probably not far off. There was an article in the WSJ today about how pre-screeened dating groups for people over 35 have trouble attracting men. The woman running one group commented that guys would rather hang out with 20-something women or a set of golf clubs than with a highly educated woman that has a ker-pow resume.

Mmm, funny you should mention thai food, which is a fitting reward for (finally) updating my resume.
