Music
Several new releases I am contemplating purchasing- do a learned listeners have an opinion?
1) Courtney Love- America's Sweethear. I thought Live Through This was a masterpiece and Celbrity Skin a POS. I dont know Pretty on the Inside. I believe that Cobain wrote most of Live throught this and Billy Corgan wrote most of Celebrity Skin. I loved Cobain and loathe Corgan, so dont knwo where this leaves me on the new album. ANyone heard this album and have thoughts? Reades on rolling stone dot com seem to really like it. spin didnt have much on it as I recall.
2) Blondie- the curse of blondie. I think RS gave it a bad review, but the readers loved it except one who called harry "an old hag" (!). i dont recall other reviews. anyone?
3) Prince - Musicology. I own nothing from Prince but enjoyed much of his pop stuff like everyone else, and then lost sight of him when he went indie (thought I heard most of it was great except for the Jehovahs Witness phase). I have read a couple of stellar reviews. Should I pick this one up?
Fuck I have become mainstream in my old age. Can someone recommend a southren fried rock blues type band that I might love? Or someone a little bit country and a little bit rock n roll a la Sheryl Crow? I need new music.

I don't know what it looked like before, but Burger, I am impressed that you could get through the post with enough attention to fix any kind of formatting error.

This couldn't be more wrong.
They don't give a shit about accidents because it's not their car and they couldn't care less about it. They never blink first because they know you do care about their car. Fender benders are part of their job and they don't even get upset by them unless whoever gets out of their car is carrying a bat.

One of my earliest experiences with the criminal justice system was testifying against a cabbie I had witnessed stopping his cab in the middle of Clark Street in Lincoln Park to stab a pedestrian who had yelled at him for laying on his horn at a crosswalk where the pedestrian had the right of way.
Not something you see everyday, but it does go to show that you have to occasionally plan for the wierd and crazy.

No, but it is a reasonable assumption that bnb was acting like the grand dame macktastic uptight bitch we know she can be, and that any attitude she got in return was surely proportional and justified -- even if that attitude was partly motivated by jealousy on the part of the flight attendant, who, if only her tits, ass, and legs were half as wondrous as bnb's, would surely have landed a job as a pharmaceutical rep!

She is the worst kind of co-worker. She will lie in the face of overwhelming evidence of her irresponsibility. Apparently even when there is a camera to record it.
Kwame is an idiot for not taking her duties away completely. But their playing up his mistakes, so he will probably win so that we are all surprised.

Agreed. Kwame was an idiot for picking her in the first place. She should have been treated like the fat, slow, ugly kid that always gets picked last (not picked) for the playground football team. It's like she's planted to sabotage people, except this isn't The Mole. Did she work with Linda Tripp during the Clinton admin?

This is the only episode I have watched in its entirety so I could be wayyyyy off but I assumed Omarosa was a plant by The Donald and Kwame is being tested about loyalty and leadership skills. If he wants to win, he will fire Omarosa.
I don't know anything about Omarosa except I read in US Weekly that she is a bitch, but come on. She is going out of her way to be a bad employee.

I'm mostly convinced that the Omarossa thing was a set-up and that The Donald told some of the former apprentices not to make things too easy on the finalists. Or maybe the losers decided that they really have no incentive to help anyone else win.
The "problems" that Bill and Kwame have had to deal with so far appear to me to be staged.
eta: crap, I hate being "trumped" -- heh

I thought at first that she was a plant, sent to make sure things don't go right, so that DT can see how well the leaders do in the heat of things. And Nick is the plant on Bill's squad, right?
But she's so fucking out there that I can see her doing what she did last night on purpose. Some of her other crap was similarly crazy.

Why are you assuming she was not given orders by Trump to play a role? If she ever wants to be hired in her line of work, she would not be acting the way she is UNLESS there is a very good reason for it. Who answers the phone in a baby voice?

I don't watch the show, so I can't tell the blonde chicks apart, but one of them said on the Today show this morning that posing in her bra and panties for FHM was maybe not the wisest decision. She said that she got caught up in the all the reality show publicity, and that, on second thought (apparently her brain didn't kick in at the first opportunity), maybe a piece of pouting chest-thrusting T&A isn't the image a future business leader wants to project.
I think she's wrong. In fact, I plan to go both braless and commando at my next interview.
|
God, I love braless chicks. Its just the sexiest fucking thing... particularly when they're wearing light colored shirts. It unhinges my brain almost as quickly as the way a snug fitting pair of tailored pants hangs on a woman's hips and moves ever so slightly when she walks, giving you a taste of the outlines of what's underneath...
I can't deal now... I've got to go home and fuck the tar out of the old lady...
