God Bless these United States and youthful indiscretions.

The follow up to my Bush post- essentially a series of corny puns- show that you are all incapable of appreciating art. i don't expect genius to be recognized, but the "Bush told the jews" is perhaps the best post ever on LTPB. Some stunned silence at least- please.

I'm sorry bilmore, not you- of course you were one of the few that realized Guernica actually hangs in a museum.

There wasn't a single pun in my entire post, you sniveling little pissant. And I've farted better puns than yours. Perhaps the Best Post Ever? Bilmore, I need to borrow one of your roofing nails. Hank's head is getting all over-inflated again.

I know that Guernica (or at least the one Picasso painted about) was a liberal strong hold and thats why it was bombed by Franco. But was it also a Basque city? I thought I saw a picture of a basque demonstration with a sign that said Guernica will never be forgotten. Of course my spanish sucks, and the sign might have been in Basque, so then I completely misread it.

The disconnect between parents and their past is the main problem with the abortion debate. Every parent, whether or not they were involved in orgies at the age of twelve, thinks that their kids are not having sex. And their kids know it. But with 67% of teenagers being sexually active most everybody is wrong. However, even in the most pro-choice states, like California, the overwhelming majority of people think that a sixteen year old needs to get parental consent to have an abortion. A parental consent law was passed in California but the California Supreme Court knocked it down as being unconstitutional under the California Constitution. Now a proposition has received enough signatures to appear on the next ballot to amend the California constitution and it looks as though it is going to sail through. My opinion is that the biggest cause of abortion is teenage girls not wanting their parents to know they got pregnant. If this proposition passes, the back alley abortions are going to start right up again. In other words, the people that need their abortion rights the most, are going to lose it. Just my opinion.

So does that mean if the liberals had one (anti-Franco forces) the Basques would have obtained their independance?

There is a school of thought, however, that the people who most need their abortion rights are the ones being . . . um . . . aborted.
Just sayin' . . .
