No, I just don't like the smell of ammonia, that's all.

Wow, that sucks. I'm not THAT busy. Just back to the days where my phone is ringing so much during the week that it is hard to get much drafting done except for evenings and weekends.
Of course, it is good news to see lots of work on the transactional side of things... So no complaining from me yet.

Lots of work, indeed, but at least misery hearts company.

For the street, it takes a brave man to walk around in a skirt.
Indeed.
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/11/02/fashion/02SKIR.html
The skirt I will bravely wear on the streets of NY and Chi-town in upcoming months.
Assumption of the risk applies to those who would lift it to do a boxers or briefs check.

this is kind of forward for a newbie and all, and we're from different parts of the country and different firms, but FWIW,
at my firm a guy wears a skirt to the office on a Sunday, and people will talk that maybe he's looking for more than a paycheck.

Alien v Predator
It'll include Lance Henriksen and is slated for August 2004. The preview for it before Alien reveals nothing of the plot. Supposedly, though Lance plays a billionaire who explores an ancient pyramid under the ice on antartica and accidentally gets in the middle of a tiff between some predators and aliens.
By the by, Sigourney's panties in Alien are ugly as shit. From the front, the low cut affords the viewing pleasure of the side of her ass bulging over the top. From the back, plumber's crack. Some of the special effects suck also. The fully grown alien looks like a guy jumping around in a halloween suit. The audience laughed at one part because it was so obviously fake, where Ian Holn's head was swapped for a manequin's head made up to look like him. Ugly-ass panties aside, I think Sigourney looks better in Aliens than in Alien; the aging of her features improved her looks.

I heard a first-hand account of an attorney that headed into the office very early one weekend morning in BDSM leatherware.

Article claims that one out of three visitors to web porn sites is a woman.
More telling fact from the article:
"The editors of Today's Christian Woman, an evangelical magazine, had heard anecdotes of churchgoing women getting hooked on pornography, so they conducted a survey asking readers of their online newsletter if they had intentionally visited porn sites. Thirty-four percent said they had."
If one third of fundamenatalist women are surfing porn sites, then the average overall is probably higher.

Does Anyone Have a Link to Picture Dump?
A while ago, someone posted an image they retrieved from some site called picture dump or photo dump. They had different categories for pictures on the top right or something. I think the picture in question was some sort of animal in trouble or something. (It was work-appropriate.) I tried searching online for the site, but I mostly got websites with pictures of dump trucks. I tried using the search feature here, but mostly got posts about whether or not posters should dump their boy/girlfriends. I tried looking at my history, but I last visited the site a month or so ago.
Help would be appreciated.

You can really have fun by putting these together. The first statement suggests that overall, women are half as likely as men to visit adult porn sites. The second compares evangelical woman to each other.
Together, they suggest that almost all men with the means to do so check out internet porn. If even a third of good Christian women are tweaking the bean on the internet, then surely more women from the population at large are. If even more than a third or women from the population at large are, then that number approaches 40 or 50%. Double that if you believe the original statistic, and you'll see that nearly all men are tcb'ing to pictures of unspeakable debauchery.
Of course, you might convince me that good Christian women are all sexually frustrated and pent up, and the rest of the population is just out there having sex instead of sitting at home in front of the computer fantasizing about it.

You seem surprised that churchgoing people are just like other people. There is no reason to assume that non-evangelicals visit porn sites either more or less than evangelicals. (Remember, non-evangelicals include Catholics.) This also doesn't say how many might have visited just to see what it is like and how many may be "hooked".
But I think average Americans, and probably average people everywhere, are pretty much like me -- religious, yes, but neutered, no.

This isn't a poll though because that would just be too personal a question.
The worst thing I ever had happen was when I was assaulted in a bar by a man who decided he would teach me a few things. He grabbed me and tried to drag me right out of the bar.
If the other men in the bar hadn't jumped to my rescue I know I would have been raped, and I'm not sure I'd be alive.
I didn't want the people who rescued me to get in trouble, cause they probably went well beyond defense of others, so no police. He got his ass unbelievably kicked though, so I figured that was punishment enough. I bet you he doesn't do that any more.

I've been lucky enough to have avoided being the target of any criminal action. I've had my house robbed and been in bars fights, but no one's ever tried to mug me opr assault me with a weapon... knock on wood.
I was outside a bar a few years back when two kids got into a fight. All of the sudden, one pulls out a gun and points it sideways at the other, dumbass-white-kid-wanna-be-a-gangsta style. Realizing that if the kid fired he'd probably miss his intended target and shoot someone else (because that stupid gangsta sideways shooting style maeks aiming the gun properly impossible), I said calmly to a friend, "Lets get the fuck out of here" and we slowly backed away around a corner and got the fuck away from there. I probably would not have been as calm were I not drunk... seeing a gun aimed near you is pretty fucked up. Knowing the shooter is inexperienced and likely drunk as hell is even worse...
I was at a party in high school at my girlfriend's house pretty far out in the country. Thes total asshole college dues show up and started fucking with shit in the house, so they were asked to leave. They refused and eventually grabbed a lineman's girlfriend's ass and all hell ensued. Since it was my gf's house, I tried to calm shit down, to no avail. Rather disgusted and thinking I'm going to be in deep shit because the house was getting wrecked, I walk outside, where I witness a high school buddy taking a baseball bat to one of the college guys and really fucking him up. I immediately figure, "Great, now I'm going to be the guy who bought beer for a party that turned into a homicide." I screamed "What the fuck are you thinking?" and the dude stopped swinging the bat, only to realize that near the patio of the house, a bunch of other HS guys are pounding a college dude to a pulp, 4 on 1 style. I yell at those guys to stop also, and they oblige, but at this point, I'm stuck with two near corpses on the ground. Both guys are unconscious and I'm really fucking scared that the dude who got hit with the bat is dead. I ask a bunch of people to take them to the hopsital and everyone refuses. Eventually, one good friend agrees to take them to a hospital in their own car and leave them by the door and call the emergency roo, which he did, followed by another guy who whisked him away after he dropped off the badly beaten cats. I helped the gf clean up, threw the baseball bat and all remnants of booze from the party in a dumpster at a construction site miles away and just got the fuck out of there. I don't think I've ever been that scared shitless, and the whole episode still gives me the creeps today. I thought I saw a guy either killed or given serious brain damage. And the creepy thing is I've worked with the guy who swung the bat, and he's a totally devoted family man who's nice as the day is long. Booze and angry young males is a scary fucking mix.
