So, you're saying we shafted 'em (well Britain did, but really, they're now our bitch, making up for the previous 200 years) by giving them that piece of land? Maybe we can arrange a landswap with the american indians.
About Sept. 15 2001, Adam Karolla (sp?) on Stern recommends moving Israel to the Baja desert. It woould simplify a lot.

Let's move on to the pacific rim problems.
if you get at all off the beaten path you have to shit in a hole- ain't no seats. Maybe that'll be in the director's cut of "lost in Translation" but I don't think so.

And that keen insight has now practically solved the problem.
The only way to solve the problem is for people to evolve to the point that they no longer hold these superstitious beliefs. With the intelligent people having less kids and the superstitious people having more kids, I think that is unlikely to happen any time soon.

As long as there are people practicing different religions in the middle east, the middle east will be a mess. The state department can do nothing about that.

The fucking Sunnis and Shias hate each other and they are both muslim cults. I just read that the Sunnis tried to assinate the head Shia cleric in Iraq a few hours ago. He lived. Too bad, but not because I am on the Sunni side.

The fucking muslims don't just hate the jews and the west, they hate each other, too.

Kid's ass was saved by JJ's tit. And Nelly's crotch was also saved.

Surely the vets could have made a bit more noise than the religious right. JFC.

But, if so, are you advocating the SPECTRE approach to world peace? Shoot someone to keep everyone else in line?
I normally hesitate to speak for others, but (while he wouldn't put it that way) I feel comfortable saying "Yep, that's the paradigm."

I'm as atheistic as they come, and the entire tone of the show bothered me. They've taken what used to be a family-type event, the Superbowl, and transformed it into something I have to be mindful of when thinking about what the kids can watch on TV. "I'll have you naked by the end of this song", while entirely appropriate and fun for adult entertainment, is sort of out of place when your 8-year-old daughter, who wants to watch the game and the show, looks at you and asks "why?" I think the bulk of the disapproval stems, not so much from some religious morality play, but from anger that fairly racy pop culture is taking over iconic family territory.

My point wasn't to deride Israel. The mess, IMHO, is that the Arabs are doing everything they can to keep the Palestinians in poverty with no hope so that they will continue killing jews.

He is only a proud American when a Dem is in the whitehouse. When a Rep is in the white house, he is blaming all the world's ills on the US.

It's still a family-type show: football and viagra ads for the adults, and beer and MTV singers for the kids. But really, you have to shut off the scatological ads as well to be safe. And turn of Friends. And any other prime time show.

I was bitching about the show based solely on the "talent" involved. At least they've dressed up the crap teens in past years with, e.g., Aerosmith (with Brittney spears a couple years ago), which still has a modicum of talent. U2 was pleasant. Last year was fine--No Doubt and Shania Twain (and someone).

But when you're up against the lingerie bowl, what would you do to keep viewers? Tony Bennet?

Scalia flew to go duck hunting as Cheney's guest. That doesn't look good.

Mine had this story last month.
Last month the story was that they went duck hunting together. The LA Times is now reporting that Scalia flew there for free as Cheney's guest on Air Force Two.
  • "In my view, this further ratchets it up. If the vice president is the source of generosity, it means Scalia is accepting a gift of some value from a litigant in a case before him," said New York University law professor Stephen Gillers.

"It is not just a trip with a litigant. It's a trip at the expense of the litigant. This is an easy case for stepping aside."
