Yep. That one slipped right by. But any article that starts with "and Laura Bush says you need to wear this" and my eyes begin to wander to articles about cows with hairpieces.

Unless they passed a law recently to change it, it is just Bronx. And yes, it is a borough. Since Bronx sounds funny people say The Bronx, much as we don't call Harrisburg The Harrisburg but we do call it The Burg.

Little girl suspended for a day

Interestingly, at my HS, one of the debate coaches was kicked off the team by the admin. for attending the abortion rights march in DC (and letting the students become aware of that fact). Leaving the debate team in the hands of the other coach, who was fucking a couple of the 11th graders, but at least wasn't publicly advocating for abortion rights. (But he also smoked weed with us after class, so I guess he wasn't all bad.)

I grew up in a red state, if you didn't guess.

I once got suspended for missing a choir concert. Really, for like a week. Conductor told us about it in September, forgot to remind anyone or put it on the schedule, and only about 6 people (whom he'd called in a panic when he realized he had forgotten) showed up at the concert in March. Rest of us got "in house suspension," which meant we sat in the disciplinary dean's office all day. But, although it was stupid, it was so stupid I can't really count that as "getting in trouble;" certainly the dean didn't.

I did get a lecture on rejecting Jesus when my 3rd grade teacher caught me reading a book about witchcraft during some health movie. They'd probably expell me for it, now, because the book mentioned ceremonies involving knives and open flames, and you know where that leads.

I can remember being in college and the issue of pot came up during a presidential campaign and I was certain that in not so long an amouint of time, it would be impossible to elect a president who hadnt once at least smoked pot (this would happen once all the old codgers died out). Now I am not so sure. THis is very strange . I am having a sebby moment of alienation. I work in a field of sunny bunnys and robust puppies. maybe i dont belong in this profession.
Maybe Merrill Lynch has a position for you.

Robert Morvillo, Martha Stewart’s lead lawyer, was expected to begin his own cross-examination of Faneuil later Thursday or Monday. Faneuil admitted on the stand Wednesday that he has repeatedly used Ecstasy and marijuana, and that he has experimented with the party drug ketamine, or “Special K,” and cocaine.

Now that Google has thoroughly confused me on the matter, go to this website for more info -- http://www.ilovethebronx.com/ (if you click on the "map" link, it has a little historical description). They call him Swedish, despite the description at the Albany museum of those Broncks as Dutch. It is a borrough, not a town, but the folks in Albany (Greene County, actually) told me something about it being the only US place that goes by "The"... and the description on the map page of The Bronx website seems to bear that out.

If any of you want more info on the Albany (Greene County) Broncks, it is here - http://www.pojonews.com/enjoy/stories/0925961.htm

I've always preferred to spend my tourist dollars in Cut N' Shoot, Texas. If you call yourself "City" it sounds kinda high falutin'.

He may well have decided that if I couldn't persuade him to drop such an asinine policy, I probably didn't have a place as captain of the team, so it may have been on the merits. I never really thought of it that way. Hmmmm.

At any rate, I think the whole thing was probably great for my college applications. Except for the Bible colleges.

Ain't got nuthin' on Toad Suck, Arkansas. Or Dog Patch, for that matter.

But what happened to the OC, the NYC, or even The Dalles, OR?

Forgive me if I'm conflating FB hubbies, but didn't Mr. dtb grow up abroad and never become familiar with American native slang? If so, where's he hearing about meat flute playing?

Actually, the proper name for Massachusetts is "THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS" (Mass. Const., Part II)

The only occasion in which I was reprimanded in any way, shape, or form, was in kindergarten: During recess, I was caught attempting to punch a classmate in the jaw (after she had scratched my face). I tried to justify my actions using the time-honored "She Started It First" and "Eye For An Eye" principles. The teacher wasn't convinced and I served detention. From that incident, I learned that if I wanted to beat someone up, I should have done it after school on the way home (which I did later, much to my delight). Stupid bitch never came near me again.

You can tell Slave that part of the film was in Longuyland. He married the yenta from Five Towns. remember? he doubledated with joe pesci who wanted to bang the jew broad? and then henry came home drunk to the mom and dad's house after being out all night and the mom started lecturing him? and the scene at Karen's club. ALl longuyland but thanks for playing
All those scenes were shot in Howard Beach - as was their beach club. For that matter, the real Karen Hill came from Massapequa. Therefore, the one-time reference to the 5 Towns is irrelevant.

If anyone cares, I can tell you pretty much where every single scene in that film was shot.

Ergo, it ain't a film about Long Island. Does your fiance realize you are such a clown?
