"THIS is the model beauty six bachelors try desperately to bed in a new reality show — unaware she was born a MAN.
The hapless lads spend weeks battling to seduce the South American stunner in Sky One series There’s Something About Miriam.
But while viewers know her secret from the start, the boys only discover the truth after Miriam picks the winner, then lifts her skirt to reveal a full set of wedding tackle.
One embarrassed contestant was so furious at the shock revelation that he PUNCHED the show’s producer."

Is this her?
I can see how they would be fooled. Very disturbing.

Psst. He's retired. Just listen to his stories about the old days and make him feel important when he's around. We don't really have to listen to him, and if he gets a bit crotchety now and then, it's just, you know, his age catching up with him.

Keep it up, tinsel boy, and I'm gonna get all Petunia on your pink, mushy, tinselly ass.

Now those puppies are really far apart. The phrase "titfucking Miriam and getting no friction" comes to mind.
Damn the FB. I fear for what I'll say if I ever go under general anesthesia.

I'm waiting for TM to post the nudie pics on the new board. Isn't that the point of the whole thing?
Edit - here's a link to another story on the pulled show -- http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertain...io/3230043.stm

I would agree to the extent you are suggesting her boobs are fake. I would also like to thank you for the song idea. I'm envisioning a little country number.

You usually don't say much. I wouldn't worry about it.

This is why I don't allow tinsel around my cats -- it gets all bound up inside them and then you have to take them to the vet to have it pulled from their asses. Not pretty at all, really.

Chucking it all and travelling
I just found out that an associate I met while on a transaction last year, quit his Biglaw job, and is now travelling around the world with his wife for the next 2+ years. They have been saving and planning for like 4 years, and once they got the money, they quit their jobs, held a big going away party, and left for asia. They have a website and upload journal entries and photos and stuff, but I'm not going to post it right now. It is one of the coolest things I've heard about lately, wish I had the guts.
Anyone tempted to do the same?
Flinty
p.s. That man is purty.

Hey, don't blame me. It was the Flower who brought up asses and tinsel, I was merely adding a different visual.

I have known a couple of people who have done similar (but for not quite that long of a time period). One is now back to the law gig after about a year and a half off, and the other decided not to return to practicing and has been seeking out alternative job prospects in a different city from where she practiced. Both are happy to have done it.
Yes, I would love to chuck it all someday and live for the moment again. Hopefully before I am 65.

I have a friend who is doing something of this sort right now, and I regularly get em's e-mail dispatches. I have to say that if I were doing to take a long break like that, I would try to stay in a smaller number of places. My friend seems to be trying to see so much that every city becomes the same superficial experience -- or maybe that's just a failing of em's dispatches. If I could check out for a spell, I'd want to go somewhere very different and get to know it better.

*sigh* Next weekend, I'm going to a bon voyage party for some friends that are taking off for 5 months to travel in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia, etc. I can't say I'm not jealous.
